I literally caught the very end of the press conference today, damn those kids I have to teach. Nick Sakiewicz said something about an event at 6:30 PM on Tuesday. I unfortunately did not catch the rest. It is not included on the press conference video on the website. I am assuming that it is this coming Tuesday, the 11th, but does anyone actually know the particulars?

Per Nick Sak , the event is called "Le Touxsday". Clever.

The guy had some piss and vinegar zingers in that press conference. Especially the part when he was asked why Seba was dealt last year in the first place and replied "I let coaches make their own personnel decisions...and not doing so means you don't respect them and that its time to get a new coach...which is what happened after 11 games least year. " I laughed. It was a not so subtle 30 minute Piotr Nowak bashfest.

Seba's digs are RBNY and VAN having empty stadiums was nice.

He also didn't skip a beat when Nick mentioned something about having Le Toux here for along time, to which Seba mumbled "forever".

Who needs checks and balances in the front office?

Does Sack do anything that requires effort?

I am very happy to have him back if only because he's the only player we have who seems to know what to do when he finds himself running toward the goal with the ball at his feet. But please God, let's not have him taking corner kicks, or making passes in his own half of the field. He can beat a high defensive line every time, and Jack can score when it's packed in. If they can figure out to make both work in the same game, and not try to overuse Seba at every position, we're good.

    meh.

I liked LeToux when he was here and was shocked he was traded. I have moved on and really don't see why they signed him back. He has a motor but I just don't like how he ran around like a chicken with his head off all over the field.

I think we signed the wrong player from RBNY.

Wearing the #10 traditionally means you aren't a complete and total liability when passing.

Clearly nobody on this team deserves the #10.

Some folks on twitter and FB have said the he did indeed call people who hadn't renewed/were on the fence immediately following his presser.

At the beginning of the STH renewal campaign the past 2 (maybe 3?) years, many players and coaches have gotten on the horn to personally thank folks for renewing and/or convince them it's time to renew.

Yup, real. I got a call from Garfan a couple of months ago, and from Seba on Friday. Was a nice surprise both times.

I have never gotten dick from the Union, call wise or anything else.

I also never seem to get these mass emails everyone seems to get from the team...unless its for something that they want me to spend my money on.
