Hanson on MOTD pointed out something I didn't realise about RVP. His defensive work in clearing corners. I think they showed him clearing 5 corners this match. I wonder if this has been a constant in other games.
Yes. He's done it quite a few times in the past. The problem however is we've been using a combination of zonal and man marking on corners. Usually RvP or Danny on some occasions stand in a zone towards the near post to cut off anything under hit or aimed near postish. It works well until someone gets a run on a CB or uses multiple players as screens and gets free. I almost feel like in those cases it would make sense to authorize the player on the far post to challenge for anything that is clearly headed far post or if we should risk 2 players marking zones at the near/far posts. Also, if anyone has a link to MOTD from today, pls share. I've checked kat, tpb and iso already. Nada.
It happens, but less frequently than you might imagine. Most times guys might not go out of their way to hang out, but there is a professional respect and courtesy extended. And at social events or semi-working events they'd rather sit next to or have a chat with someone in their line of work than not.
