BeinSport now has matured as a channel and is in full production. Under Antonio Briceno's direction this channel looks no more like GolTV with nice graphics. Here are some errors that BeinSport has made.

    1. Commentators: Hudson and Ray.. really.. the baseball commentator and the delusional geordie.. this is your flagship team? How do you think you can be a credible INTERNATIONAL channel with second rate talent? Have you not learned from FOX.. they (for the most part Europa League excluded) use international feeds witch are FAR superior to your miami concoctions. And why o why did you have BODO ILGNER.. yes a fantastic keeper.. but a commentator?? surely NOT in English!.. while I respect him as a player and giving insight at half time.. to have him for play by play is idiotic at best. There are a couple of bright spots. Ian Paul Joy is good along with Russ Dyer.. but why use them when you have a superior INTERNATIONAL feed. BRANDING? yes if you want to brand your channel as amateur.. then yes.

    2. Game Selection: Brand yourself as the La LIGA channel..and be done with it.. you give Serie A and the Championship no respect at all. You selections of matches over Serie A are mind boggling.. why watch Real thump someone six nil when you can watch a competitive Serie A match. Why dont you show Friday Championship matches??? you have the rights and yet you ignore key matches...even on delay... AND THEN why do you use RAY AND PHIL as commentators on the occasional match.. WHY? when they have probably the best commentary feed in the business.

    3. 90 in 30: whats the point? why waste your time and our time

4: The Express: Why do you have clueless talent here.. Terri Leigh and Temruss Lane were never brought up with European football.. they have no clue.. they try.. they accentuate all the foreign names and try to sound authentic.. but they have NO IDEA on what they are talking about.. a real football fan can see RIGHT THROUGH THIS... you may have convinced the wannabe college international but true footy fans churn when they show up on camera.. im sure they love football.. but they dont KNOW what they are talking about.. have you not seen this yet?

5: The locker room: Why have the hacks that noone can stand sit there and pretend that everyone loves them and they are some authority on punditry. Bring back the viagra commercials.

6: Watch like never before: Remember this? you will be able to watch BeinSport a different way and like never before said the sheik.... hmmm what happened? Online is limited based on your provider.. they have not revolutionized ANYTHING.. most people will count them lucky if they can get a stream from their provider.. another unfufilled promise.

7: The International Sports Channel: you could be this but you have some serious flaws.. you are football centric.. and cant even show the content you have licenses to.. and then in your spare time we get fringe rugby and handball.. who are you kidding... get more channels or get rid of the rights you have... ESPN and FOX have plenty of space to put on games you ignore...you are doing the game a disservice and FANS know.. and are not happy.

so what are you doing right?
you have some quality programming.. ie Global Game is a must see... along with your documentary series .. totally excellent.. but your Miami based operation is a shambles and i hope some key decisions are made.. especially regarding the key commentators..

right now you are GOLTV..... with nice graphics.
shame you are nothing like you arab cousin....

    you mad, bro?? :D

At least you can watch the game!! I love me some Phil and Ray. Leigh is decent, but Lame is just turruble as hell. I like Bodo and Cags a lot. Especially Bodo since he was an RM player and he reminds me of Steve Stone.

Bodo is not bad.. but Steve Cangliosi is a joke! Surprised he wasn't mentioned in your rant. Some one needs to tell Steve.. these are 'clubs' not 'franchises' .

And please use the International Feed for Serie A... I'm almost in prayer right before the Serie A intro and hoping that I'd hear the voice of Paul Visca / Richard Whittle on the airwaves.

Ray and Phil should stick to just La Liga.

Also Phil Schoen looks to be a minute away from a heart attack - every time i see Locker Room.

Bodo IS that bad... If you speak broken English you should NOT be an English commentator... Cangliosi is one I forgot ... He is a joke... Let him do handball and the BeinSport field hockeymatches

Why Serie A has to be a preference? Myself, I would rather watch Liga Adelante than Serie A. I understand that I am in minority, so should you when comparing popularity of La liga and Serie A .
    I agree about 30-90 though, it's abomination.

You're never gonna please everybody. Personally, I'm a much bigger Serie A fan, so 4th v. 6th Serie A matchup up would be more attractive than seeing Real or Barca whoop on a relegation side. Just my preference, that's all.

There was no doubt they were going to be La Liga centric.

I guess you could blame Seria A for taking the money and not staying with Fox Soccer.

As long as they broadcast every CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier and ever USA road Qualifier they are a winner in my book.

    Far from a failure.

Agree; the channel could be a lot more than it is. However, with feedback like this I hope they learn and
    improve.

Then don't hijack the rights when you don't have the ability to show the matches. Less popular (in the US) leagues like Serie A, Ligue 1 and The Championship are begging to be streamed. Where is the BEin streaming service they promised?

Looks like the OP is comparing beIN with BBC. Of course beIN will sound bad then. Compared to what we are used to, its pretty good.

Serie A gets no respect? 4 live games per weekend is no respect? How is this not enough unless you do absolutely nothing except watch football 24/7? Odd comment.

I love Phil and Ray. OF course it would be better if the commentators were actually in the stadium. But Hudson is awesome.

Locker room is better than what we've had in the best. Remember Wynalda and Cohen? o_O

It's hard for me believe that international announcers wouldn't be better than people calling valladolid-real game. I just don't know why they are so stuborn. It would be better and cheaper.

Here is my comment: I came to this country in 1978 and was not able to see the 1978 World Cup because football was not popular in this country. However, this change in 1982 were SIN "Univision" was able to broadcast all the games from spain. However, European club games were available. I am not sure when did PBS started broadcasting Serie A. ABC was the only American channel that was not afraid of showing soccer highlights and on occasions, tape delay games. NBC try too, but it was not well received. However, cable made some changes, and ESPN was the first one to start broadcasting european tournaments. This was follow by Fox World Sports. Goltv change soccer broadcasting in this country for good. And now, we have beIN network.

Yes, beIN is not ESPN, but do I want beIN to be ESPN? All I want to see is the best games from Europe in HD, and that is all I want from beIN, ESPN, Fox, Univision, Telemundo, Azteca, UniMAX "Telefutura" and Galavision. Sometime in the near future, MundoMax may be also broadcasting games form either South America or Central America.

So, I can complaint, but I won't. I am now able to see the South American world cup qualifications at a decent price.

this is 2012... the age of the internet is here.. this I TAKE WHAT I GET ATTITUDE is so 1990...

with the riches BeIN has.. there is no excuse not to have a presence for their announcers at the stadium... have any of you people not seen the mideast version of BeIn sport??? they are miles ahead of this channel. It comes down to the management of Briceno and the idiots in miami..

Phil and Ray have no international credibility..their comedy routine is old.. in fact Ray steals his routine from the late great Sid Waddel.. he has used many of Sids sayings.. not original.. and not appropriate for football. Im tired of the MAJESTERIAL comment or the ORGASMIC goal.. which obviously titillates the wannabe college internationals ..you think this is quality announcing? your a joke... Baseball announcer and Geordie jokester are doing the Roma v Fiorentina game.. hmm didnt do the Real match.. interesting.. STILL watching the international feed ONLINE.. announcer ON SITE... superior.... YES... by miles.. available to BeIN..YES.. but the clowns in miami decide these two buffoons are more qualified..... NO they arent.

if BeIn wants to be an international channel with credibility.. they have some soul searching to do.

No announcer will suit everyone's taste.

As to streaming, they're obviously trying to get on every cable/sat system in the US and streaming is not a conducive partner to that strategy. Once they are on everywhere, they will probably offer it. They did it last summer before the channel even went on.

    Meanwhile, there are alternatives venues.

I don't have cable or satellite, so last year, between a FoxSoccer2Go subscription and with ESPN3, I had access to every single Premier League and Ligue 1 match, and at least 6 Serie A matches and 3 Championship matches every round. Along with that, I had 4 different Cup competitions in the FA Cup, the League Cup, The French Cup, and the Coppa Italia. It's not that I watch every match, but I had my choice of what I wanted to watch at any time live or on demand. Now? I only have the Premier League and the FA Cup. Because of my schedule, I don't really have the ability to watch matches live, so having matches available on demand was a big thing for me. For me, beIN sport is an abject failure because I went from all that action to what exists now. beIN was talking about a streaming service, but it never materialized. Meanwhile, here I am with the inability to watch one of my favorite leagues in Serie A. So, for me, yeah, I'm incredibly disappointed with beIN for buying all of these rights, and not even bothering to provide them the way they were provided in the past. Remember, not everyone cares about the South American qualifiers and US matches. Based on what I had last year, and based on what I have now, beIN is an enormous step backwards, and I feel like I've been screwed over by the stupidity and ignorance of people with money, but without a true direction.

Well, I am sorry that it seems like a step backwards for you. Obviously the streaming and on-demand feature is lacking. Hopefully in the future they find a way to stream and have recorded games online available to download.

But we must remember that a television network's main priority is live production on television not computer streaming. And they have done a pretty good job of that in my opinion.

If you haven't got the ability to stream matches, don't buy the streaming rights, or partner with someone who can stream them until you have the ability to do so. This shows how beIN is like a teenage girl with their rich daddy's credit card: Buy a whole bunch of stuff just to have it, and never really use it.

Who are you to tell a company what to do with their money?
They originally streamed material on their website until the network launched. They have now focused on getting their two channels on as many carriers as possible. If you had a product you would focus on the main product becoming as successful as possible. You would not focus on the fringe aspect/ secondary issues. Unless you were a bad business man.

So your teenage girl analogy does really apply. This is a business not a teenage fad.

Of course its not... again the model you are talking about is 20years old.. EVERYONE must have a digital platform in todays viewing model... and especially for soccer, the live and on demand match options are a must.. Bein has failed on many fronts... announcers, digital platform, showing the matches.. this is just not acceptable in 2012... the people in miami should be fired.. there is NO difference between this setup and the previous setup of Goltv.

Well no one really know's what is happening behind the scenes. They could be working on online streaming as we speak. It just is not a priority when they are trying to get their television networks on as many service providers as possible.

Digital platforms are not a must, especially when you consider the television ratings process which do not apply to streams. They actually are counter-productive when applied to nielsen ratings and can hurt them initially.
