    lol X-D This is great.
Should have made the kit include a skort, though, for full parody effect. C'mon, Portlandians, you're slacking!

The "invented soccer" meme ala Sounders / MLS is played out, don't you think? Seattle didn't invent women's soccer, nor do we think we did.

Now, improving it, that could be. ;)

But here is their actual logo, per twitter.
Their name is indeed the Seattle Sirens (FC), and they have an egg-shaped logo.
Looks like their team colors will be forest green & egg-shell white.

Those colors seem a bit tame. Something brighter, perhaps. ;)

Sounders Women need a redefining moment in 2013

    http://goalwa.wordpress.com/2012/12/11/the-wash-sounders-women-need-a-redefining-moment-in-2013/

There are far more questions than answers in regards to the eventual fate of the Seattle Sounders Women in 2013. The club isn’t saying anything these days though they are plowing ahead with selling season tickets in spite of all the uncertainty. Some fans are taking to social media to ask some pretty fair questions. The most popular being “Who will be on the team next year?” It’s likely easier to say who won’t be.

I got it right, the Sounders player in the photo is Kate Deines. She was one of the draftees before WPS went under and she's a great player. I'm thinking she's going to be playing in the new league. And, I'm hoping it will be here in Portland, although it could be in Seattle. She's a Portland native. Parents in Seattle area, Grandparents in Portland.

Kate Deines is a great player.
She should definitely be in this league.
    Probably for Rose City FC.

I've been following the web registration and social media addresses as we wait for the Seattle team name.

The latest is that "Seattle Reign FC" may have pulled ahead as the favorite.

There have been Facebook and Twitter addresses for both "Reign" and "Sirens" for almost three weeks now (before the names leaked.) Now the "Sirens" unpublished Facebook page has been deleted. www.SeattleReignFC.com redirects to an unpublished but still active FB page.

A very "feminine" logo for the Reign.
Go Seattle, lol. This rocks, but it's gotta be a joke.

That Reign logo is for a Seattle gridball team, circa 2009.

Valkyrie. Odd logo. Screams "WE ARE WOMAN!" too much, IMO.

Maybe a mix of the "sirens" theme they originally planned? I see it has the nautical "pitchfork" theme the original Mariners logo had.

I guess. I would certainly believe a "sirens" influence. Just seems very super-feminist to me with the face in your face, especially with the lips and chin. Sleek, though, I will admit. And nice use of color.
