In terms of other Hex teams' friendly matches to keep an eye on, we have ...

    Panama v Spain
    Bolivia v Costa Rica
    Honduras v Peru

    {Mexico & Jamaica are idle. ;) }

Per FIFA.com, Mexico has a Hex-prep match scheduled v Denmark on January 30.

Pablito Aguilar scores and Paraguay 2-0 Guatemala.

Partido in Luque (PAR). Guatemala without Pescadito and a couple others. Paraguay missing Bonet, Benitez, Haedo Valdez, Roque and about four others.

Carlos Ruiz has retired from international football. He called it quits after the U.S. drilled the final stake through Guatemala's qualifying chances, and through his heart. Just a shame, really.

Pablo Aguilar scores a hat-trick. 3-1, wins Paraguay.

At this point Guatemala has made 4 changes, Paraguay has made 6.

Strange. Not even the Guatemalan "spazzos" believed they had much of a chance over the USA & Jamaica.

They're playing in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, so altitude is not a factor.

"Caballo" Saucedo. He scored a hat-trick against the Uruguayans in the quals. 1-1. Ends now.

CRC ending the game hanging for dear life. Bolivians like scoring from long-distance. The ball does weird things when they are in La Paz and send a rocket from midfield.

    Not a single Hex team won today. 2 idle (Mexico, Jamaica), 3 draws (Russia 2 -2 USA, Bolivia 1 - 1 Costa Rica, Honduras 0 - 0 Peru), 1 loss (Panama 1 - 5 Spain).

In my prediction contest here the percent of people who predicted each team in the group to reach the Hexagonal:

    USA: 100% (24/24)
    JAM: 75% (18/24)
    GUA: 25% (6/24)
    A&B: 0% (0/24)

Before this cycle, Guatemala had reached the Hexagonal more recently than Jamaica.

I thought FIFA messed up the draw, so aren't they going to do it again?
