Mike Magee doesn't need a Balon D'Or to measure how great he is. He is beyond a Balon D'Or. He's Mike Magee. He is his own trophy.
Bloody hard to hold by the way. Getting it vertical was hard enough, but the middle kept sagging and we were worried we looked like numpties. Glad you all could read it though - I had no idea what it said until I saw the pictures after the game
How much is Gerard Butler worth? But seriously, those were total random photos of Gerard Butler with Beckham and Keane. What's the connection? Just a Euro celebrity in attendance?
I thought it was a sequel to "300" where he is the resurrected King Leonidas and takes on the Persian Empire again and gets revenge on Xerxes. A little twist like Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
There were actually 3,000 Spartans. They ran into Mike Magee on the way to fight the Persians. Lucky for them, he was in a hurry so he left some survivors.
I found this at goal.com of all places, kinda funny: CARSON, Calif. -- Landon Donovan sat behind the table in the press conference room in the bowels of the Home Depot Center as he was introduced to the media as "Forward, Landon Donovan" by MLS director of communications Will Kuhns. "Not after that first chance," Donovan deadpanned.
Kobe BryantI watched my man Becks and the Galaxy win it all today.Great match. Our turn now. Steve NashMLS Cup Final Great atmosphere and great game Pau GasolCongrats for the phenomenal victory@LAGalaxy! Felicidades por la fenomenal victoria! #ThanksDavid Los Angeles Lakers Saturday he wins a MLS Cup. Sunday he’s back courtside watching Kobe & the Lakers. Congrats to Beckham & the @LAGalaxy! Mike TrudellDavid Beckham got a nice ovation just now. Kobe, Gasol, Nash & Howard were there to watch him & the @LAGalaxy win another title yesterday.
^^^All this love is great... but it's interesting that these guys all talk about Becks but not Keane and Donovan. I suppose it has to do with the equal star power between them and DB.
Great point. Maybe this warrants its own thread, but I find Sean Franklin's thoughts very interesting. He said during his interview last night (and im paraphrasing) that he thought the Galaxy was LA's best team. Maybe it's my blue, white and gold heart but.. I agree. In this present moment and time, the Galaxy is the best squad representing the beautiful city of Los Angeles. I love love love all the recognition the team has had through out the last few weeks. I'd love to see this brand and franchise grow and see the HDC as white and packed as yesterday. This team and franchise are a big deal. About time the city starts treating it as one, right?

Beckham really loves the Lakers, I'm sure he hangs out with them all the time. I know Nash, Bryant, and Gasol are all soccer fans too. It's weird, I've never met a Brit that like Basketball as much as Beckham does.
Don't know if this has been posted here yet, but it's awesome. Turn your speakers up. http://p.mlssoccer.com/SAu5a/video/1274378/league_2012-12-01-220518.640hq.mp4
Hmm...I have this crazy suspicion that he is one of the new Galaxy owners in the near future. Huhuhu! Err...how much is Gerrard Butler worth again?
Say it, brother! OMG! that was like...totally unbelievable! It was unacceptable! Never, ever again! Na uh!
Hall is a blatant liar. Hall didn't touch the ball. I just watched his Keane takedown frame by frame and you can see Keane touch ball with his right foot well before Hall reaches him and poke it out of Hall's path. The ball clearly changes direction before Hall is anywhere close enough to contact it. Keane set himself up perfectly to go around Hall and tap the ball into a wide open net. The yellow card that Petrescu gave Hall was generous. It should have been a red for DOGSO. Hall is also lying about Gonzo's header. The ball deflected off of Boswell. Hall did try to gather the ball for a goal kick afterwards, but he didn't protest when Beckham grabbed the ball from him and Petrescu pointed to the corner. And I'm sorry but you'd have to be both blind and delusional not to admit that Clark handled the ball - TWICE! If Houston really wanted to blame the ref and call him out, they should have also mentioned Keane's legit goal in the 63rd minute that was called off for an alleged foul by Gonzo. Gonzo only got his arm up next to Boswell - he didn't push off of him - and Boswell actually grabbed Gonzo's arm to impede his jump. However, I haven't heard Kinnear or one Houston player make mention of that bad call. Oh no, it was a one-sided conspiracy completely against them. It's sad when a team can't lose with class by crediting the other team for being better and blaming themselves for not having a good enough game to win the cup. Houston should remember there's no "h" in winner, and even though you lost the match you can still be a winner in deafeat by taking the loss with maturity and class. Sadly, even though the team moved from San Jose to Houston six years ago they still haven't lost the smurf conspiracy stink. And someone needs to tell Kinnear to stop spitting. The man is disgusting.
Juninho@Juninho19LA Beckham thanks for everything. It was 3 great years playing next to you. Good luck going forward. Obrigado pic.twitter.com/uEhcYK0K Awwww... *sobs*
I really, really, really don't like him...but this is HUGE! Joseph S Blatter@SeppBlatter Congrats to @LAGalaxy and David Beckham on winning the MLS title. David, all the best in whatever you do next! http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1961011.html
Did you see his next tweet? He welcomed the Pope to twitter, saying he was honored to "share this platform with such exalted company." No lie.
