Alright folks, to avoid clutter in the other threads, keep the discussion about match times and tv schedules/showings here. Thank you!
Anyone interested in a Chicago viewing of Bayern-BVB???? We had a decent crowd of BS posters last time at the Globe. Not sure what pubs carry GolTV anymore. It is on GolTV, right?
11:30am time Warner cable goltv HD 760 Bayern vs BATE: will not be televised on any channel at any time in the USA..
It should actually (most likely) be on DirecTVs UEFA channels. To this point, they've shown every CL and Europa Lg match. Not sure why it'd be any different this time. On DirecTV, these channels are in the 480s (or near there).
Greg is right. There is the odd occasion however that the game is not shown, but typically that is because the team they may play is a minnow and the results would not matter anyway. I doubt that will be the case as Bayern's outcome determines the group leader.
Hey Eiss, I'm out of town but I think a few people are going to Cleos in Ukrainian Village to watch. The German Cowboy has them show all the Bundesliga matches.
9 30 MTN 10 30 CST 11 30 EST According to my TV. The schedule on GolTV's website has it an hour later. They're keeping it professional as usual.
Found out the place I play soccer at on Friday nights (Indoor Sports Center) has GolTV in English (not HD). Going there in an hour to watch live and have lunch, perhaps some ales.
Is it like a 'sportheim'? In Germany, I would go to the local one sometimes for the atmosphere, and weizens
I think it's $20/month, which is a bit high. But, you can watch every CL match in HD. If you had the opportunity to attend (in person) one CL match, would you spend the money on the ticket? If you look at it at from that perspective, it's a pretty affordable way to see ALL the matches. Yes, I realize it's not in person, but it's worth it I think. Picture quality is typically very high. And if you watch it on an iPad, and have Apple TV, you can pop it right to your TV screen with no loss in quality.
The Spanish package on Direct TV is about $15 a month, and if it is in HD, I am finally considering ending my hold out. My wife can't take the bitching anymore!!! She said to just make it my Xmas present!
Your talking about getting goltv? I think there's also espn deportes and fox deportes.. Espn deportes has an HD channel and they use to show all the Germany home games and Bayern ones too.. Fox deportes doesn't have HD in my zone, but they have been showing Bayern/Dortmund games that doesn't involve Spanish/English/Italian teams on that same day. Instead of waiting the typical 3am or next day replay.. Goltv shows all the top Bundesliga games weekly, they have hd channel. Also most of the Germany qualifiers/etc. But be warned, at least in my area and my provider. The HD channel is not in sync with the right schedule. For some reason they are still running their old schedule of la liga games etc. So you literally have to wait for the last minute sometimes for the right schedule to activate.. Which is very frustrating when your trying to record ahead of time.. One of my many examples I have; Germany had a qualifier against Ireland this year. It was suppose to be scheduled that day. Their guide refused to update, so the game never showed up. U tried to manually record from certain time slot to another. Yet when I came home the HD drive deleted it, because it was not syncing with what was suppose to be on ., long story short it was a huge nightmare and I have written several letters to goltv. Luckily I recorded the std version on my back up tv in the other room... Small fussy and blurry, but better then nothing I thought..
I've had it since last season's CL campaign. Its absolutely worth every penny. You get all of the matches live, and on demand after they finish in TV quality HD. If you like the Premiership you also get all of those matches as well.
thanks guys! i am getting it today (not too worried about the price, was worried about the quality and the coverage)
Does UEFA.com still offer on line pay per view? I know in 08 I was able to watch the matches online in Iraq. I'd rather pay per Bayern game instead of everything and not watch 95% of it.
they used too and it was great... but not anymore.. Fox took over the streaming.. and i did subscribe to fox2go in June but they didnt have all the games live-- they were on demand ..., it pissed me off and left them but now according to the guys here it seems they started putting everything live.
