I'm praying that the Galaxy lose. I ********ing hate them. The same way most you hate the Red Bulls.

I'm hoping for the "rocks fall, everybody dies" outcome myself.

I hate both of these teams. One is a squad of overpaid primadonnas. The other represents the typical MLS-style thugball that has become so common in a league with such poor officiating. I guess it would be better that LA wins since they play a more attractive style.

I would rather see Houston win, but we already know that LA will since this is Goldenballs' and probably Donovan's swansong. Good riddance. I can't stand either player.

So......in a dismal season, Union can still claim a road win over the 2-time defending league champs.

Time to prepare for '13 in earnest.............

We need to adopt the Cosmos/Galaxy model. Screw developing the youth in North America. We just need to buy three big name players, and we'll win an MLS Cup. Its been proven to work.

    Unless they'll work for Bimbos.................

I just think the Union need to find 3 "MLS-level elite" players (1 on Defense / 1 Midfield /1 Forward)
and then build a team around them to fit a consistent identity and they'll win their share of MLS cups.

If they're serious about building with youth only to sell them off if/ when they ever develop............you're just playing games.

Rafa is Mexican and Cahill is Australian. & yes, I know that Donovan is American, but he should be playing for Everton. Hell, he's willing to retire if the MLS won't lower his price and sell him to Everton.

I think he was referring to the fact that they buy big named players and still cant win.

With all respect, you drastically underestimate the quality of the supporting cast.

I would take Dunivant in a heartbeat. I would consider a Valdes for Gonsalez trade depending on who is going overseas first. Magee would be an instant upgrade for our midfield. That's three players who started in MLS and Magee started earning a paycheck when he was younger than you.

Yeah, I see that now. (but they did beat us three times)
Gonzalez has a better shot at going to Europe. If Tim Ream was given a shot at the EPL, why not Gonzalez? Hell, why not Valdes? We'll see what happens during the offseason.
Now its the waiting game for who gets called up to Camp Cupcake at the HDC.

I thought he was considering retirement because of all the injuries he's been having lately.

In his interview with ESPN, he makes alot of references about Everton. & when the MLS is asking 10-15 million for Landon, & only one team wants him (Everton) it makes Landon depressed. At least that's my theory.

Nah I think it's just the injuries. Do you see how messed up his arm is in that picture?

Landycakes does not want to go overseas, which is how he got the nickname. He's had plenty of opportunities to, but other than a couple of short stints with a few Euro clubs (including Everton), he's never committed himself to it. That's his choice, though, and I do think that the people who have criticized him for it need to remember that it's his life, and he doesn't owe the US soccer program anything. That being said, I hope he will not retire and continue to play for both club and country. He still has several good years left in the tank and he remains the best player this country has ever produced.

When healthy, Gonzo is better than Valdes. When healthy. Unfortunately, Gonzo just can't seem to stay healthy for an entire season. It's why there's reluctance to call him up to the national team.

Add Donovan and Beckham (I know one is out and one may be out) and SKC would have the all bitchy team. Adding Benny just makes that team all the more unlikeable. I didn't want him here as I don't want to have to yell at our players to stop crying so damn much since that is the fans job :geek: .

On a side note, if we play SKC at home in the USOC again can they make it a Union Pacifier give away night?
