You know their clip was a goof by them right? Still love me some Melanie though (Maxim Hometown Hottie winner).

Arbeloa at best for Real and Spain is reliable. Spain should have better right backs though, Martin Montoya and Chelsea's Azpilicueta seem to be getting a look in, I think Micah Richards of Man City was being linked to Real.

He's a dependable player though. Montoya is terrible. The way Barcelona play, even Olegario could play in fullback, and he was one of the most comical football players to ever play in the Primera Division.

Atletico vs Real, it should be a really good game. I'm going for a 2-1 win to Real but Atletico have a great chance also, they're in top form as of now. Watch out for Falcao for Atletico, 11 goals in 12 games and Ramos against Falcao should be interesting.

Both sides have an even enough chance but Real I think will just shade it in the end.

We are at home, we are gonna win. It'll be interesting to see if someone is tasked to deal with Falcao, and if so which of the CB's it will be. I think I'd prefer Pepe marking him than Ramos. It'd be interesting to see who is better at dealing with the aerial threat out of those two. I reckon Pepe is better in the air, despite his constant falls to the ground afterwards.

So long as he falls after clearing the ball or making a good pass, i don't care. But i agree, i always felt Pepe was more imposing in the air than Ramos was. I mean varane would be ideal with his height, but if it was only height that mattered then clearly Peter Crouch would be winning the Ballon D'or every year :p

Ramos has never impressed me in man marking, unless he is in full out hack mode (see Horsey's legendary clip). Pepe is a very tight marker, I think he will be a better choice.

Ramos is better in the air if you ask me. But I would have Pepe on Falcao because he's smarter, reads plays better and quicker.

I was listening to some Sid Lowe stuff today on the radio and he mentioned that everytime Madrid have won the CL (98, 2000 & 2002) they have had a poor domestic season. He seems to think the CL was the main priority even before the season kicked off. He also said that Madrid are aiming for a "respectable" league position finish putting emphasis on CL glory.

That would make sense if we were playing well in the CL. We aren't. The only reason it's a priority now is because the league has almost gone already.

Having said that, I'd always take the CL trophy over the league, and if we win the CL this year I wouldn't care if we came fourth in the league.

That Sid Lowe is a genius, I tell you. Genius!! Like the whole of planet earth didn't know that the obsession this year is clearly La Decima. I don't think that explains the poor form though.

First of all - hello to everyone on this forum! I'm newly registered user, but for almost a year i've been reading this forum so now i decided it's time for me to register and particiapate in the discussions aswell. ;)

The way this season is going i must admit i also thought and remembered the same thing about our last 3 CL trophies as Sid Lowe did. The bad La Liga performance is almost everytime tied up with the CL trophie.
Also last couple of seasons the winner in that competition is never the team that pulled out amazing group run with 6 out of 6 strong performance. The previous seasons with Mourinho we were rock solid in the groups, with perfect performance and overall stats but at the end we all knew what happend - didn't won the trophie.

So i think there maybe signs about La Decima, but only time will tell.
