Its about that time once again to forget about what happened over the summer and turn our focus on the post holiday transfer season. I've been too busy to keep a close eye on all the transfer gossip over the last couple of months, so I would appreciate help filling in the blanks. Dzanan Catic left Kaiserslautern II in August, but did not resign anywhere. His twitter listed MLS as a destination over the winter.
Roger Espinoza mentioned in an interview that there's another European club that has made an offer but declined to name where.
IIRC, that particular rumor came from his agent who has spent the last couple years throwing a lot of names about yet Rossi is still a part of the yellow submarine. Speaking of Rossi: Giuseppe Rossi 'lined up as cut-price option for Liverpool' http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/918261-giuseppe-rossi-lined-up-as-cut-price-option-for-liverpool#ixzz2Cnwe9uDl
No trouble to add another color. The difficulty lies in determining where training separates from trialing. But I can give it a go.
A couple of other Philadelphia Union players will have training stints per Brian Sciaretta: Zac MacMath - Everton Jimmy McLaughlin - Hoffenheim
According to the often questionable Mail, MacMath will be in Everton for a trial, not simply training. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...David-Moyes-wants-new-goalkeeper-Everton.html
Time for another update. I have tried to distinguish training only from training/trialing, but there will often be a blurry border between the two. If there is a mention from the club or the press that there is a potential the player could be signed, I am treating it as a trial, otherwise it is just training and is depicted in green. From Robb Heineman regarding Espinoza, I know it's not an official announcement from the club but it's as good as one that we'll get right now that I think he can be moved to the confirmed list. Robb HeinemanVerified @RobbHeineman Happy 4 Roger. Glad 2 c him get the chance to reach his aspirations. Time for someone 2 step up. I know someone will. #sportingpipeline https://twitter.com/RobbHeineman/statuses/273223749929668609

Connor Lade will be training with Sevilla FC (right after inking a new contract with NYRB/MLS). http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/news/2012/11/red-bulls-sign-barklage-and-lade-new-contracts
I was gonna say - Rossi would be great for Liverpool.... not exactly the YA we thought or wanted to be there at the beginning of the season but oh well...

Michael Orozco Fiscal will be loaned to Puebla for next season. The club will have an option to buy. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/11/30/american-exprts-orozco-fiscal-move-puebla
http://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/la-sp-galaxy-20121203,0,6847856.story Via LA Times. Nothing concrete but it seems someone will come knocking for Omar during the close season. Surprised that LA would consider a loan considering what happened last time.
I assume, in case of Gonzo, this means a short-term loan with an option to buy somewhere around March, 1.
http://www.noshortcorners.com/2012/12/ugh-are-shops-playing-goodiepalooza.html Although he looks set to re-sign in KC, Matt Besler has interest from England and Belgium.
http://www.philadelphiaunion.com/news/2012/12/pfeffer-taking-his-talents-hoffenheim-year-loan-deal The Union's 17 yr. old Zach Pfeffer will start a 1-yr. loan with Hoffenheim starting Jan 7th and running thru Dec. 31st. It doesn't say in the article but I'd be willing to be the loan is actually to Hoffenheim II in the Regionaliga Sudwest. Also if you are wondering how a 17 yr. can be loaned, he turns 18 on Jan. 6th.
