Here's hoping Blank has the smarts to partner with or buy the Silverbacks and all the infrastructure that would come with such a move. Silverbacks park would be the perfect place for the MLS reserve team to play - and also for Open Cup matches against dinky little 2nd division teams like Tampon Bay.
Great idea. Plus, the farm team will be just up the interstate from the MLS squad's home stadium downtown on Northside and Ivan Allen
I wouldn't use Silverback park as a regular facility, like as practice fields, though. It would not be a good selling point for DPs. If you think players complaining about field turf is bad, try adding stagnant smog from the busiest intersection in the city.
