Grew up in Siena for a couple of years, the area around the stadium is awesome, the stadium itself is garbage.

    Siena is an amazing place.

Edit: I am guessing there's an image with your post and its the new stadium? Cant see it at work.

The new stadium will be really nice.

The current stadium is kinda built into a hill which is cool but its just bleachers pretty much, feels like your at a really small colleges football stadium.

    wikipedia population: 54,526

27% of the population needs to attend the match in order for them to sell out.

Rome has 2.77 million and the olimpico fits 80k.

3% of the population needs to attend for them to sell out. However in Siena I don't believe there are many other sources for entertainment on a Sunday

Yes Siena's stadium can be regarded as dated (understatement) but its kinda cool. Hope they stay up, have always had a liking for Siena, little underdogs fighting against it, there are much bigger sides in Serie B and below

But hopefully we secure 3 points all the same

I am not afraid of Siena, but afraid of Cosmi,

we always do bad against him with any team he coaches. lecce for example.

There is really great basketball team - Montepaschi, one of the best european teams. God of basketball, Bo Mccalebb played there for two seasons.

I'd try to sell Stek this January. Id rather have Giocochea in net if a good right back is bought with those funds

yeah. He makes decent saves now and then, he's got a good boot, but I can't think of any performances in the past year and a half where he has blown my mind, where as someone like Consigli and Marchetti have. He is also slow off his line and taking charge.

I think a lot of people thought he was going to be the next Van Der Saar but I think he is just an average keeper who makes a couple nice parries now and then, but he sure as hell is no cat.

Why are people here obsessed with selling ouR players? We may not have a complete squad but its the best we have had in a long time. We have seen nothing of Giocochea yet to make such a sure opinion.

I was really upset with Giocochea after his derby blunder but he is quick off his line, quick with the counterattack, and has made some nice looking saves lately.

It depends how the money is reinvested, if it is reinvested at all, and if he is sold at a decent price.

You can't just logically say "That's a bad decision", cause there are lots of outside factors you never consider.

I agree with DCU, you can't get top money in January. It's always sales based on desperation. Plus it's more difficult to find an adequate replacement in January. Clubs tend not to let go of players in January even if they might consider it in June.

Besides it's still to early to give a proper assessment of this other keeper.

I'd rather have Stek in goals, his a far superior keeper in terms of technical ability. I haven't seen what all the fuss about Goicochea's distribution, it's not that much quicker than Stek's for the most part and his kicking is quite poor. Goico looks like a shot stopper, most of his saves have been put out for corners or he punches the ball instead of catching it (3 corners in a row given to Palermo) though he has made a few nice reflex saves.
