http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/11/26/kick-garbers-state-league-kicks-cup-week Assuming the league will audio stream the call live at http://www.mlssoccer.com. Be sure to stick around for the Q&A session to find out how Garber will respond to a rambling question from Paul Gardner.
little to no changes to mls playoff format imho in 2013. no change to unbalanced schedule either is expected. expect the home/away games to be switched around in cascadia.
In Cascadia? How about everywhere. That's been the announced plan all along. Cascadia won't even get a mention if the schedule comes up.
Once again MLS is late to the party trying to catch on to the new trendy thing. Zombies are already overplayed...
Best XI posted: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/11/26/sporting-kc-land-four-players-2012-mls-best-xi But the assumption that the league website will offer a live stream of the State of the League conference call, as has been done in some previous years, may prove incorrect in 2012. Perhaps they'll post a transcript when it is over.
Must not be much anticipation in the MLS-covering media. I've seen more tweets about Jason Kreis's new twitter account than I've seen about the state of the league.
Ah, twitter: MassiveCity @MassiveCityFFC Garber says Beckham is "retiring from #MLS," thus leaving the door open to him playing for #TorontoFC next year.
No change to DP rule. Plans for new stadium in Flushing are developing. Kraft is looking for stadium location "downtown". Looking for public support. Henry and Beckham tell Garber that there is interest in MLS among players in Europe.
ProstAmerika has a summary so far: http://www.prostamerika.com/2012/11/26/commissioner-garber-makes-state-of-league-speech/74903
Thought this one was interesting: "We're talking with the Falcons about their project to build a new stadium in Atlanta about possibly moving into that market" I'm not certain of that translation, and I haven't seen anything from English media yet.
