i assume they did, but i really have no idea. you'd think it would be hard to keep grass growing through the winter without them though. especially inside a stadium where all the sunlight is blocked except for directly overhead.

Berlu says that "Pato is a problem!"

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has labelled Alexandre Pato as a ‘problem’ on the eve of the game against Juventus.
Pato’s future is in doubt after a host of injuries mean that he is no longer guaranteed a starting shirt at San Siro.
“Pato is a problem,” the President noted. “We really hope that he can fully recover from all these injuries.
“It is a problem because he was the one Milan player with the brightest future ahead of him.”
Pato has been ruled out of Sunday’s big game, but Berlusconi will be present at training again – a week after giving the side a boost on the eve of their 2-2 at Napoli.
“I will be at Milanello tomorrow because Milan need me. Have you seen how the side recharged itself when I am here?
“There is a need for my presence and I will visit the squad at Milanello before the game against Juventus.”
The media mogul also insisted that the club were right to sell ZlatanIbrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain, a switch which has given Stephan ElShaarawy the chance to shine.
“I certainly have regrets that Ibrahimovic is not on the pitch, yet we have saved €160m over three years by selling him.
“But now we have El Shaarawy. Counting on youngsters is the right road ahead.”

Mr. Muggy believes the ref has been chosen to hurt Milan. Ref discussions aside, beating Juve team for team, is mission impossible itself anyway!

Luciano Moggi has stirred up controversy by suggesting referee Nicola Rizzoli was assigned to tonight’s game with Milan in order to ‘damage’ Juventus

“The designator, unsure of how else to complicate his life and that of others, chooses referee Rizzoli for Milan-Juve without taking into consideration what happened in the past,” wrote former Juve director general Moggi in Libero newspaper.

“Rizzoli, used as a goal-line judge, caused all sorts of trouble and always in favour of Juve. Don’t forget the Italian Super Cup with Napoli, Catania-Juventus and Juve-Inter – all very recent games.

“The first to be embarrassed by this situation will be Rizzoli, as stepping on to the field with the ‘aura of Juventus influence’ can prompt him to make opposite decisions compared to beforehand out of a sense of uncertainty.

“Some are even suggesting Rizzoli was sent on purpose to damage Juve. I don’t want to believe such a thing, but we do have to ask ourselves how this sport works to understand why every week there is some controversy to calm down...”

This will be Rizzoli’s fourth time officiating a match between Milan and Juventus. So far his record is two Bianconeri victories and one for the Rossoneri, although all were played in Turin.

Moggi was the Juventus director general, but resigned in 2006 when the Calciopoli scandal broke, as he was found to have called the refereeing designator to influence the choice of officials assigned to their games.

Definitely a big win today. Too bad it wasn't without the controversy. If that were reversed we all know that Juve...bribing...refs...etc...would be the claims. So would have liked it if it was an open play goal instead. That said, these are three big points and a huge confidence booster desperately needed with a few weeks going into the winter break.

If Milan can follow up with a few more wins, and if any rumors of a Sneijder/Binho swap, + if Berlu is good on his word and gets some reinforcements, then the sky might not be falling after all :D.... Thems all a bunch of BIG if's though. The last thing Milan need is Berlu thinking his presence causes some sort of alchemical / magical transformation and then do nothing about it, or worse just make a coaching change, which won't solve anything!

It wasn't exactly pretty but they did what they had to do. Constant saved the day with the block on Vucinic.

I wonder what Quagliarella was saying when he covered his mouth as he was subbed. Alessio never looked at him.

What an incredible game. Screw the controversy, it was a PK. They guy was jumping in the air in the box with his arms flailing around. It was a judgement call and it was a PK. The boys played incredible. You could see it that they were playing with heart and determination.
Amelia- played great, made good saves when needed too. Im glad we have a viable option to Abbiatti tho tbh both could start and i wouldnt be mad.
De Sciglio- the kid is a star in the making. What he lacked was experience and boy is he getting it. Superb quality.
Mexes-Yepes- today were warriors. Mexes made so many interceptions/clearances and Yepes who looks like a Colombian druglord is just incredible(turning to my fav player)
Constant- Ive made fun of Constant numerous times before season, first few games, but man this guy gets better every game. He has pace to catch up, his ball skills and touch are quite good and slowly learning the LB postition and improving all the time. Bailed us out a few times today.
Nocerino/De Jong- played lights out in midfield. Worked hard, got the ball to Montolivo and showed great determination. Wonderful pair of DMs to have
Montolivo- the guy impresses me more and more each game. He in the maestro in midfield and even tracks back to win the ball. I knew it would be hard to find a new Pirlo but this guy is as close as they come(for free too ;) )
Robinho- worked hard, made good runs and nice passes. Scored the game winner today. I hope he can stay healthy and form a nice partnership with SES and Pato/Bojan/Urby/Boateng in future games
Boateng- disappointing me with result but he is out there working hard for the team. He doesnt have any goals yet but slowly I see him working harder and grittier. Its not pretty but eventually I think it will click
SES- what can i say? the guy is becoming a star in front of our eyes. Bonucci and Barzagli couldn't stop him without fouls. He is seeing the game much better and every day becoming better. I really hope that Pato takes his presence as help and allows them to destroy teams up top. Id love to see a SES/Robinho/Pato 3 man front.

Wonderful game to a rocky year. Could this be the turning point? Can we catch up to CL spots, contend for Scudetto? If Juve advance in CL than they might drop points in Serie A and you never know. Our squad looks to be getting better and better. Perhaps a few Jan signings to replace Traore/Mesbah/Villa? Tello/Kaka(loan deals) and perhaps another???? We shall see. One thing I know, a lil fire has been lit for me and I have regained a lil bit of faith in this team. Lets see how it goes...

How shitty does it feel that you need favors from the official to achieve mid-table status?
