Would he need an actual contract to get a visa? I can definitely see another team taking him if the new management has no interest.

Depend of what kind of money he want, if is under 100K maybe, and him and Hertzog will be a very good bench behind Henry, Cooper and Cahill....

I love the guy. I'd love to see him here but more in a 3rd striker off the bench role. He's over 30 now and has been injury prone. And that's just if he gets a visa. If he doesn't then we have to close the book on Luke Rodgers for good.

Hertzog is no longer with the team. He graduated GA and his option was not picked up.

He will still be allowed to come back in pre-season as a trialist. Will he have a chance to get a contract again? Probably not but still we are giving him a chance.

It's going to depend on what salary he is going to accept. If he is willing to come back to try and earn a contract maybe that is a sign that he wants to stay.

I'm sure you can sign Hertzog for 60K or less and compare with 180K of Luke.....Remember this will be the four striker on the team and you will not sign for 180K a fellow that will be sit game after game, so if they sign a four experience striker they will sign Hertzog...

I'd be more than willing to cut Le Toux and put Rodgers at 3rd string

Isn't Le Toux a free agent?

I believe so, I meant "cut" as in "not offer a new contract"

Think on this, at FW we have if we keep Cooper: Henry, Cooper, Cahill and beside you can get back Hertzog for 50/60K, why will you need a 190K player like Rodger for?.....

The scenario will be: 1.- that having in condition to play this three players the line up will be Henry-Cooper and Cahill little behind, 2.- I f any of this players get hurt or something, they will line up only two strikers......

What we need is a Left Back. ...I will line up a emergency team with the players we have right now like this:
    ........................Meara............................................SUB: Robles
    Barklage....Helgersson.....Perace.....Conde...........SUB: Rodrigo and Miller

    .............................McCarty
    .......Lloyd...................................Lindpere..............SUB: Lade, Palsson, LeToux

    .................................Cahill
    ...................Cooper...............Henry

During the off season after study this players, cut what ever player isn't needed, and start looking for they replacement and at the same time change the line up if necessary, I think that Miller, Le Toux, Palsson and Rodrigo have to go and in that order.....

But you can see, we have a very decent 11 starters right now, and we are much better that what we were at the beginning of 2009, 10 and 11, with a little common sense and a bunch of will, we can have e very good roster for the next season....

Thing is Le Toux at 125k or so is a steal but problem is that we have used him poorly and he just couldn't find his groove here.
