I must admit, having rode out the Olympic disappointment, I thought he was there until 2014. Only in Brazil, eh? The first manager to go between World Cups since Emerson Leao in 2001.

I'm... surprised. Where the hell did that come from...? I'd expect that to happen after a huge loss or something, but we won the superclassico... I don't get it.

Anyway, let's see who takes his place. We all knew his work wasn't satisfactory, I suppose it's better for him to go now then waiting for a loss at Confeds... But I still can't understand the timing, why exactly now and not after the Olympics?

Nothing would make me happier than to see Guardiola there... WHich is VERY unlikely. I don't know if I will eve rsee a foreigner as the Seleção coach in my lifetime. Well Scolari is available I suppose, but he is not on his best moment.

I agree about Luxa. My ranking of managers preferred would be: Luxa, Felipao, Tite, Muricy...

I don't think Luxa re-signed with Gremio, so he is still available. I wouldn't be surprised if he became the new NT manager, Mano would go to Gremio, Dunga to Inter and the rest stays put...

Well I knew something was wrong when he called Durval! That was too much for CBF to take...

Felipão seems to be the favorite for the spot.

Good move. The team had little to no chance to win the world cup. Now you have 1 year and a half to fix your issues.

    Extremely weird timing.

They could and should have fired him a long time ago.

It won't be easy for a new coach to come in and make big changes until the WC2014.

I can't say I'm a big fan of any of the names rumored either.

I am surprised BUT do not forget Teixeira and not Marin appointed him. ******** a foreign coach - anyone suggesting that ought to be banned from here for life.

Luxemburgo - or Muricy if we must look elsewhere - the latter manages some of the Brazil team anyway at Santos!

Guardiola AHAHAHAHAHA thats rich.. his system would take EONS for it to work at the NT level.

probably, Muricy.. He seems to be the most reasonable pick here. Maybe Abelao??

No Ney Franco.. plz no.. and Dunga was just hired at Internacional.. sooo

    Rawr! Please spare me :D

It's just that no current brazillian coach really excites me. There is a lot to do and not much time left, whoever comes must work quickly.

Dunga hasn't gone to Inter. Right when the news about Mano broke, Inter stated their interest in Mano taking over next year.

Dunga said he will return to football in 2013. The Brazilian journalists will love it if he gets the Brazil job again (!)
