How is that not a foul? Ronaldo totally blocked off by Kompany.

That was not a foul but the one with Arbeloa is a penalty and second yellow.

what we do know is that he'll never be great playing wide (i only saw two japan games and he looked ordinary on the left) or in midfield. he doesn't have a lot of positional range, his skillset is very specific.

SyedZada. i honestly believe that with a good run of games in the hole, kagawa could transform the way we play. rooney on the left would automatically not play like a classic winger. the only guy that would be incompatible with a tactical change is tony.

Arbeloa pulled down earlier by Garcia should have been a foul and yellow as well. Very inconsistent refereeing.

Ronaldo beats his man 99.999% of the time. I'd forgotten what that looked like.

Cristiano pushed out of bounds by Kompany as well. Seems to only miss them when it is Mourinho side...

Would have been nice if City could have snook into the EL.

They are in 3rd as things stand.

Also, RM are going to finish 2nd behind BVB as things stand as well.

Ronaldo has destroyed Kompany (and the rest of City defenders) today.

    13/16 spots already decided.

    Left are Juve/Chelsea, Celtic/Benfica and Gala/Cluj.

2nd placed teams likely to be RM, Milan (confirmed), PSG, Juventus, Bayern/Valencia and Celtic/Benfica.

No easy teams there outside of Milan and maybe Celtic/Valencia.

    Beeb had the wrong table.

BVB are surely going to play their reserves in the final game - pointless game from their perspective.

Pretty much a pointless game for the City players as well. Not sure they can be bovered to put in an effort to qualify for the Europa.

    Yep.

If Valencia win their game at home against Bayern, RM's potential opponents are just us, Shaktar, Schalke and Porto/PSG. 1/4 chance.

The battle of the missing midfields!

Honestly, what does Xabi Alonzo do anymore? I used to think he was great when he was at Liverpool, but today (and most other times I see him lately) all he did was pass the ball to the other team and then run back real fast to get back on defense and retrieve that same ball. Can't help but think that if RM played with 10 men they'd do better.

We'd probably just buy them so we could sell them to Zenit

WTF happened to Zenit? How could they botch qualification in that easy group? They let Milan come into Russia and take 3 points?!

    Got Gif?

I didnt watch that game, but I could imagine them being outnumbered often.
I feel like you've been saying that for the past few years...:cautious:
Feels like it every time though.
You also think that early last season, that type of football we played, at such pace was just a fluke?
I think that Kagawa can help us play that system, and it wouldn't need him to be more than a great player.
I know Valencia doesnt seem like he will fit, but he will still obviously be useful. I wont even mention that other winger of ours.
