His time at Valencia was exceptional. The last time someone other than Real Madrid or Barcelona won La Liga. I'm trying to stay positive.
Good luck today... https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...manu-the-other-teams-thread-r.1972844/page-63
As I said, he's being appointed as INTERIM manager. He's caretaker until we get Pep or whoever the next big shiny thing is next year. I absolutely hate this, but whatever.
Who's beating us to it? Spurs? Newcastle? Liverpool??? If we drop out of the CL finishing in the top 4 is almost assured.
At this point, everyone is an INTERIM manager. I hope all of them learn to limit their personal items to one tiny box.
Everton, Arsenal WBA, and as spurs go, its a looong season. I dont expect an arguer like you to yeild anyway, but just like you were wrong about benitez being our manager, you could be wrong about this too.
No - just the ones that weren't first choices or aren't very good. Since Carlo we haven't appointed a single manager I've been particularly excited about and one of whom had to be fired.
I wasn't wrong about Benitez being our manager because I never said he wasn't going to be. I said if he came in, he'd be a caretaker, and the club's press release called him an interim manager. But yeah, good one there! And if you think Everton or WBA are beating us to 4th over a full season, you're insane. Hell, I even assumed for your benefit that a weak Arsenal side is going to beat us into 3rd.
To everyone, please get a grip. He's not exactly the guy anyone wanted but he is our manager for now and we should back him. I've always maintained that fans should support the club through thick and thin. Don't act like those United fans who got so pissed off with the glazers they started their own team, that's not supporting your club that's running at the first sign of adversity. Good and bad is different for different people, but don't let something like this affect your support. I'll judge him on the results he brings and see what sort of groundwork is laid for the future. We can revert back to treating this as a transitional year now that the RDM honeymoon period has been abruptly halted. To Robbie, thank you. A Chelsea legend on and off the pitch and will always have a European legacy.
Are you implying that I said that? Or that it was the general consensus, which I didn't agree with anyway?
