http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57552179/pressure-mounts-to-end-bloody-israel-gaza-conflict/ "38 Palestinians were killed Monday ... Over the weekend, civilian casualties in Gaza rose sharply after Israel began targeting the homes of what it said were suspected militants."
And the Oscar goes to... this guy (forward to 2:12 - he is almost dead, and at 2:42 - he is fine again)
And yet in spite of all this, Hamas is more effective at targeting military as opposed to civilian targets. It has killed thousands fewer civilians than the israelis, kills hundreds fewer women and babies, and it causes a higher proportion of military deaths as a ratio of total deaths in its operations. Hows that targeting of journalists going by the iOF?
Indeed. And anyway it's easier to play "claim the moral high ground" when you have almost all of the military toys.
or murdered the most innocent people. and they still have the balls to bitch when rockets rain on them in retaliation for the unwarranted killings of civilians. the idf are hypocrites. i will do my best to spread the news of these gross injustice and murder when i can.
Keep talking boys, keep talking. I know you're all deeply sadden by the fact that so few Jews have died even though thousands and thousands of rockets have landed in Israel. So sure, continue with your hatred and blindness b/c it's a lot easier to support the underdog, even though this underdog is a bunch of murdering maniacs. But hey, just b/c the rockets are inaccurate and can only kill a handful of Jews, of course Israel should just sit quietly and wait for the death toll to rise, so then it can "justifiably" begin its self-defense. Let's ignore that thousands of Israelis have to live in fear of some stray rocket hitting a house, a car, or a school. Keep hating.
How is it Israel's fault that hamas gets shit weapons from its iranian allies, while Israel gets American made, and homemade weapons which actually work? I don't believe either side has a moral high ground here, but I give more credit to Israel for taking steps to limit civlian loss of life when possible.
I hope the US will send some reaper and predator drones to Israel to help them hunt down hamas terrorists and better pinpoint the hamas rocket attacks fired from homes and schools. Our drones are proven in combat to be highly effective.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20413625 What nice people those hamas guys are, I bet they even gave them a fair and public trial first too.
It also says alot about the people who come out of the woodwork here to bash Israel, but strangely don't have anything to say about the almost 38,000 dead in Syria...A war that has hamas backing the rebels and hezbollah backing assad. Where are the cries of disproportionate force at there? Or any righteous indignation?
And yet the number of innocent civilians killed on the Palestinian side always vastly outnumbers innocent Israelis killed. Let's be realistic here, there is terrorism on both sides of this conflict.
While we are being realistic here, it has been shown in the previous thread how hamas uses human shields when launching rockets and strikes. This is fact. I condemn the Israel strikes where they kill innocents, especially children. I also condemn hamas for intentionally putting those children at risk by using them as human shields. It is a disgusting cowardly act to use them in that fashion. In the cases where a house is hit and kids are killed by Israeli strikes I condemn those, Israel should refrain from striking houses if there is a chance that children are present. As for hitting rocket sites, the onus is on hamas to make sure they don't have innocents at a military site. Any children or civlians killed in those instances is blood on hamas hands.

Based on what do you give them credit? Here are the civilian casualty numbers in the year leading up to the last time Israel had to escalate to <cough>defend its citizens</cough>: And because it just so happens to be another election year in Israel... 113 dead Palestinian civilians. 3 dead Israeli civilians. What the IDF is doing (and god forbid they roll in the tanks), is the moral equivalent to a bully kicking his victim while he's on the ground and claiming he wasn't lying there passively enough for him and that he'll keep kicking him until he not only stops fighting, but acknowledges that it was the victim's fault in the first place for scuffing the bully's new shoes.
Interesting that you want to draw a parallel from those Israeli police using civlians to get others to stop throwing rocks, and they did not fire back at them, to hamas firing rockets from homes using children and others as human shields. Both are wrong, but on far different levels. Not that you care when you are looking to blame Israel for everything. As usual you don't address the post made, but instead try to deflect it away towards Israel. This time looking back to 2004 to find your story. The third picture you showed, from 2004, is disturbing and after reading the article I am glad to see that a Rabbi did the right thing and confronted the police on this and did what he could to help. Now since that was 8 years ago, I would guess that the investigation of the incident has been completed.
Tom I am calling bullshit on you here. Israel has dropped thousands of leaflets, made thousands of calls, even has gone so far as to fire warning shots at areas to alert the people that strikes were coming. This has been documented already in the previous thread and even in this one by me. Look at post 15. Is the Israeli election this year? What is the date again for their election? Funny how you ignored my earlier post about the IAEA report on iran's nuke program, which just came out all the while things in hamas start heating up. Or ignore that while the emir or qater was there in gaza hamas decided that then would be a good time to start firing rockets into Israel. Not to mention the timeline I provided that shows the strikes made this year by both sides. Why are you turning a blind eye to the provacation made by hamas? You liken Israel to the bully. It is more like this, Israel is the kid on the street who is different from everyone else. He is alone and is surronded by a neighborhood where they don't like anyone who is different. hamas is one of those kids who likes to think he is tough and loves to run his mouth. So to impress all his friends he decides to go sucker punch the different kid, but quickly finds out that he picked the wrong fight and gets his ass kicked. And while he is off crying his way home he gets sympathy from all the rest of the neighborhood for getting his ass kicked from a fight he started.
The election is two months away. You know exactly what he meant. And there's a clear pattern of Israeli aggression pre-elections.
