    A friend of mine that is a journalist... He said his source is hot, but I won't believe until he wears our shirt... Would be damn good to have him.

    I haven't heard anything about that through any of my sources. If it does happen, it will be interesting to see how much Santos pay to bring him in. Last offseason, Corinthians and other teams tried acquiring him but the asking price was way too high.

    I think it may be reaching 15m... No way we can pay that.

    I guess it's too much to ask for the higher ups to use the Ganso money wisely. Obviously we need an armador, but, as good as Montillo is, paying that much money for him leaves too little to invest in the rest of the squad. I can't believe they blew off the chance to sign Macnelly Torres like it was nothing. A quality player for cheap, what more could you ask for?

    I'm anxious to see who this Paulista striker who's supposed to be signing is.

    Macnelly Torres? I've been told by someone that follows the Chilean league that he is extremely overrated.

    When I read that the first name on my mind was Barcos... Then I remember that we are Santos and that we don't sign good players, so we will probably sign Willian José.

    Mengão86 He's been playing for Atletico Nacional of Colombia for over a year now. Looked good when I saw him in the Libertadores group stage. He's doing for Colombia too from what I have read.

    Bakaman Strangely enough, even though he has been terrible this year for SP, I still that he could turn good. If it is Barcos, hopefully someone gets the idea to sign Wesley as well.

    More of the Ganso transfer saga was revealed today:

    http://jovempan.uol.com.br/videos/m...sobre-venda-de-ganso-para-sao-paulo-68987,1,0

    My highlights:

    - One of the supposed reasons for Ganso's departure was the gigantic difference between Ganso's and Neymar's salaries ( 150k ish vs 3m)... Yet today they revealed the documents live: the offers for both players were IDENTICAL, but Neymar accepted the deal while Ganso refused... But why?

    - DIS said that the relationship between Santos and Ganso had gone awry and that was anotehr reason for his transfer, yet an e-mail written in May 2012 by Ganso to Santos's directors was shown, with the player saying that Santos was the club in his heart. Either DIS is lying, or Ganso is a two-faced bastard, or both. Also, right before that fateful match vs Barcelona, Ganso declared that he had offered the 10% of his contract that he owned to Santos, but we refused so he sold to DIS, showing that "we didn't care"... Yet he never offered anything to us, but took an loan from DIS with his 10% as a collateral .

    - Ganso and DIS agreed terms with São Paulo before they even showed us the offer, as if they were the owners.

    Seriously... :mad: I know it's wrong to wish for the misfortune of someone, but it's getting pretty hard to resist.

    Unfortunately our board has its mind set on saving money over anything else. That's why we were to only club to reduce their debts last year in Brazillian football... But the team's overall quality pays the price. They are always looking for free agents like Willian.

    We are negotiating with Milan about Robinho's Return 3: The Pedaladas Strikes Back, so Milan has sent scouts to study our team and see if there is any players that are interesting to them... Today the journalists are reporting that they are interested in Felipe Anderson, Arouca and Rafael.

    If they want all three for Robinho, I would include Neymar in the deal as well, such a generous offer! :rolleyes:

    If they want one + money for Robinho, now we are talking. I reckon that the only player out of those three I would never trade is Arouca, it would be hell to find a similar player to replace him.

    For Rafael, we have Wladimir and Aranha, they are very close in quality and the first one could grow to be even better... There is also Gabriel in our current youth team that really reminds me of Rafael... It would be sad to see him leave since I quite like him, but football-wise he can be replaced.

    For Felipe Anderson... Well I wouldn't want him as a starter next season anyway, but it still feels risky to trade in such a young player who could turn to be great... But we should be shopping for AMFs anyway...

    I suppose the best option for us would be Rafael+money... Or a plain trade of Rafael+ Felipe Anderson for Robinho and them we use the money from Ganso to sign Montillo:

    ----------------------Aranha---------------------
    -Bruno Peres--Dracena---Gustavo/Netto-----Léo-
    --------------Henrique-----Arouca---------------
    ------Robinho----------------------Montillo----
    ----------Willian José---------Neymar-----------

    That could work I suppose. We still need to find a proper LB at all costs, and a better partner for Arouca ( though I suppose we could bet on our youngsters and use Leandrinho as a CMF, Arouca as a DMF).

    Pretty much agree with everything, Bakaman. I'd rather keep Felipe though. I think he has what it takes to be a starter if he can just get his head straight consistently. Would help if Muricy played him centrally more often.

    I know W. José was terrible for SP, but I really liked him when he played for the U20's. Hopefully he expresses that potential next year.

    He needs to get fit first... His form is terrible atm as well, he can barely trap a ball, he is messing up anything that involves more than 2 touches.

    Just wondering why you had Willian José in the lineup. Not sure if her is much better than an out of form André. Isn't Benfica shopping Kardec around? I don't rate him, but he was decent at Santos.

    Kardec, Willian Jose, and Andre...

    mann, thats cringing. Should've never sold Andre lol, Willian Jose is an average forward, will never be anything more or less. and Kardec is flat out no good, a Criciuma size player.

    Imagine if Andre had never left Santos.. yep. Would be some good times.

    I like André, it's just that he is so BAD right now, I want to bite my arm off! His only good point atm is his positioning, which was always excellent... Maybe with some heavy pre-season training he will improve.

    Tough times, low budget... We will only receive Ganso's money in January, so I still hope for some good transfers. I'm starting to miss Kleber Pereira when he wasn't fat and useless... Though I pray everyday that we never have to live through what we did in 2008 again. Brrrrrr!

    Goleiros- Fábio Costa, Felipe e Samuel
    Defensores- Domingos, Carlinhos, Kléber, Denis, Adaílton, Marcelo, Carleto, Evaldo e Betão
    Meio-campistas-Adriano, Rodrigo Souto, Dionísio, Rodrigo Tabata, Adoniram, Vitor Júnior e Marcinho Guerreiro
    Atacantes- Fabiano, Renatinho, Wesley, Moraes e Kléber Pereira.

    THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!

    Then there is Ricardo Oliveira, Dodô... Even Deivid and Alberto had great spells for us, though they played in one of our best teams ever.

    It's becoming more and more likely that Durval and Bruno Rodrigo will be gone. Good news! I just hope that we will get some good replacements...

    That 08 team is horrible, although I am sure you'd take Carlinhos back. Rodrigo Souto was actually decent back then.

    Carlinhos? Of course! We desperately need a LB. I'd take Wesley as well, but to use him as a CMF (a la 2010) rather than a SS like he played in 08... And that's why I hope we will snap him out of Palmeiras's hands now that they are relegated hehe :devilish:

    Rodrigo Souto can rot in hell for all I care, like Ganso. Though I suppose that Arouca came to Santos because of him, so my grudge with him isn't as large.

    Why do you feel that way about Souto? I know he stunk towards the end of his stint with Santos, but when he first came over from Figueira, he was decent under Luxa...

    He left when our team was recovering from the weakest season in decades, to join São Paulo under the allegation that "He wanted more visibility", as if our club was was some backyard playground. Little did he know that he left right before a chain reaction happened at our team, with resulted in that excellent 2010 squad with Neymar, Ganso, Arouca, Robinho, André and Wesley... This is the "visibility" he got:

    Now he is playing in Japan, and we all know that the Japanese League has soooo much more visibility than Santos right? :rolleyes: Plus he was banned in anti-doping for sniffing coke.

    I'd rather keep Buddha Rodrigo and get rid of David Braz, but I guess that's just wishful thinking. Hopefully we could pick up a player like Manoel by just giving Atlético-PR Maranhão plus some cash.

    Thanks for posted that 2nd vid as well. Never seen it before. The one with Felipe schooling Souto is one of favorites.

    Newest Rumours:

    - Indeed we are negotiating with Montillo... Though he didn't sign yet. I find this easier to believe;

    - Diego Souza, who wasn't a priority, is now being targeted. Our priorities were Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Diego and Renato Augusto it seems, but they all failed;

    - For our LB position, we are targetting Mena, from La U and Chilean NT, 24 years old;

    - Less reliable sources link us to Cícero from São Paulo.

    - We are trying to make a deal with Coritiba for Everton Ribeiro, probably involving Bill as well.

    - And of course, Robinho. He is very likely to join us. Not exactly a new rumour though.
