United Airline tickets to LA selling quickly after LA match. Glad I got mine last week. Looks like we have The same return flight.
I'm trying to negotiate a group discount for a Hampton Inn walking distance from the stadium for MLS Cup. I'll post the info after it's confirmed tomorrow. but it'll be at least 10% discount from $122/rm. He said there were plenty of 2Q bed rooms. I'll post it on the MLS Cup FB page too
This is where we stayed last year. I want in on this deal if possible. Please keep me in the loop. great hotel and great location.
Southwest has a good price on airfare from HOU-LAX, ~$294. Last I heard from my buddy, UA's price is about ~$500.
TommyHTown, Thanks for the tip. I will tell my friends to go to Southwest Airlines. The airfare at United Airlines is now 493 USD whereas last week it was 294 USD. Somebody at United Airlines must monitor the results of the MLS playoffs and jack up the price after the results are in.
I bought mine at $290 after the LA game on UA. I think availability just got all taken for the cheaper flights
$343.90 United - Depart 7:12pm from IAH nonstop to LAX (9pm arrival) on Friday Nov. 30th United - Depart 2:52pm from Burbank (BUR) to Denver (6:11pm arrival) on Sunday Dec. 2 United - Depart 7:41pm from Denver to IAH (10:59 pm arrival)
Dad and I just booked airfare on Delta's website. $315.70 per person on Delta out of IAH to Long Beach w/ layover in Salt Lake City. Leaves noon on Friday gets in at 5:47PM. Long Beach is a tiny airport 10 miles from Home Depot Center, by the way. If you have the option, I highly recommend it.
Austin is another option. Mine on SW were under $300 RT Friday/Sunday. For me, the Austin airport is barely over 1 1/2 hours away, while both Houston airports are just about that far. And driving to Austin in the mornng is much nicer than driving across Houston.
I just secured a group rate for the hotel for the Hampton $98/nite - Nov 29 - Dec 3. See the link for code and hotel name. http://www.facebook.com/DynamoFansGoingToLaMlsCup2012
If the trip wasn't sponsored, but done at cost, how many would go? Greyhound is $200 rt, so I'm assuming $150 or so. Last year, they did it direct, so it would be like leaving at 7am Friday from BBVA Compass and returning approx. 10pm Sunday back to BBVA.
My friends are telling me that just about all the good fares have jacked up in price since this morning. I'm covered but I'm still looking for airfare deals to pass on to friends so they can join us as well.
Could be worse. Coulve bussed you over dangerous roads, made you stand in the snow for 4 hours and ship you back without a game being played. #NeverForgetDC700
Southwest to Burbank is around $300 w/ some $159/each way deals - still found good ones to LAX too. But look into Orange County as well
If we don't get a bus or two out there like we did last year, we're going to have to borrow someone's gear!
Travelocity has a "secret hotel" deal for $55. Pretty sure it's a travel lodge and its 2 miles from the stadium. I might jump on thst
MLS Cup Ticket: ✔ Flight: ✔ Hotel: ✔ Car Rental: ✔ I get there Thursday, if anybody wants to set something up.
