And joining Ibrahimavic at RSL is Humberto Sauzo of Monterray, you heard it here first.

Skeevy gas station attendants would finally have a role model on the team.

No hate for Zlatan, I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised to see this guy asking people if they wanted a little meth with their Big Gulp:

That's awesome ... Carlos Valdes is rumored to be bringing Radamel Falcao back with him from last night's Colombia/Brazil match. ;)

Remember that getting better forwards won't help unless we upgrade our midfield as well.

If the rumors of RSL trying to unload Fabi are true I think it would make the acquisition of forwards high on the list for the offseason. I definitely think we will see some turnover at that position before the season starts. I don't think any of the forwards besides Sabo have any, absolutely any job security.

The midfield is probably much the same with only a few of the veterans with any job security. The younger, cheaper players probably have a better chance of sticking around to see 2013 as RSL players.

With the salary cap situation I think we are more likely to see RSL move out higher paid and older players in the midfield and let some of the younger players, Vianna, Seba, Enzo? & Gil, ( if they can keep him considering he will more than likely graduate from GA) get more playing time in hopes that will be an improvement. Painful at times but an improvement.

I think Javi is way up in the air whether he stays or goes. If he gets an offer from another team similar or better than his current deal I can't see RSL getting into a bidding war for his services. I think they would love to keep him but its up to him whether he stays for less or leaves for more. Just a guess.

Other than the obvious few like Rimando, Sabo and Beckerman none of the current roster of players is or should be a lock to return. I think many will it's just a matter of which ones and in which combination. It just depends on what the offer is and for whom.

At the very least it should be a pretty eventful offseason that's for sure.

I could maybe see Bonfigli stay as well. He's young and cheap and I could see them keeping him around another year at the 4th striker spot. For the minimum he makes, I'm not sure you find someone better, and with another year in the system, maybe he's able to contribute.

I hear Bonfigli has speed and maybe that's true and also the reason he disappears for long stretches, he so fast we can't see him.

We may want to look at replacing our conditioning coach. Is it me or did we have a lot of injuries this year, more than previous years anyway. Are Olave's injuries partially because our players conditioning isn't what it should be?

i know 15 and i have repeatedly mentioned this, our physios/trainers/doctors are horrible. this team suffers from way too many injuries, more than normal. i say it's staff related because the team often has the same type of injuries, hamstrings are very common. this is directly related to training and how the staff goes about stretching and rehab. i cant just sit here and believe that a team has as many injuries over several years like we do and think it's 100% on the players. it's not and it has to be fixed.

If I remember from prior posts, didn't the training staff go to Vancouver? It'd be nice to somehow get them back, or at least get some new people that might do better. I think you have to give some credit for our 2010 run to the training staff. I don't remember there really be any injuries of note that season.

He's at league minimum isn't he? The odds of finding anyone better for the 4th spot for the same price is just as much of a crap shoot as seeing how he does in his second year with us. It takes time to learn a system. At least keeping Bonfigli around for year two would give the staff an idea if he's progressing into someone that can contribute, or someone you dump at the end of the year. Bringing in another striker for the 4th spot would likely just repeat the process all over again.

Not defending RSL's trainers or anything (I don't have an opinion either way), but part of the increasing number/duration of injuries might have to do with how the guys playing big minutes were a year older last year. This is one downside of the "core group" approach to team-building. I recall other teams with well-known cores (Houston and New England 5 years ago come to mind) had the same issues.

Won't happen since he is one of Hackworth's boys, and he will be coming off of his GA contract so he will count more against the cap than Fabi would (and, unfortunately for you guys, you need to shed salary, not take more on). The best you can hope for is a cheap bench type player and allocation money, IMO. Teams know you need to shed salary before next year so you guys aren't going to get any sweetheart deals (or even fair deals in some people's eyes).

To play devil's advocate: Bonfigli had chances. When PJ was hurt and out of form (so pretty much all the time) Bonfigli got to play. It's not like the guy is suffering from having talented guys in front of him robbing him of minutes. He scored one goal against Dallas and never really looked like doing anything else in his other chances.

My point is, why waste an international slot on that guy? Our 4th string striker occupying one of our 6 (?) valuable international slots just doesn't make sense.

From years of playing, I'd suggest that Kreis and his training tactics should be questioned as well. The age thing for sure is a factor, but to have as many injuries as we've had and as constant as we've had them (reoccurring seems the norm) some sort of "investigation" needs to be done.

It's like our scoring issues. Everyone on the team is under scrutiny, as they should be. But the guys who have that at the top of their job description should be questioned the most. So, in this case, the athletic trainer should receive the heaviest scrutiny. Followed by the coach
