Appreciate what Solli and Tainio have done, but with their injury problems and lack of mobility it was time to part ways and we free up a lot of cap space. At least now Dax can lay sole claim to that defensive midfield spot.

Although, I liked both Tainio and Solli that's around $370,000 freed up. It's a shame because I thought Solli could have been a much better player for us but injuries and lack of form hampered him here.

I also liked metal head Gaudette, seems like a fan favorite type of player.

Sham about Gaudette--I'll be sad to see him go. Everyone else on that list--thank you for your service and good luck in your future endeavors.

Gaudette was Bouna version 2.5. Some games he'd be the savior with amazing shot blocks, other games he'd be the bum with mental errors. Don't get me wrong he was far better than Bouna but the league is at a level where consistency is priority numero uno with keepers.

Going to miss Solli and Tainio. Really liked them both. Tainio was great when he first got here. I liked Gaudette also. He did come up big for us at time but with Meara and Robles, figured he would be gone.

I really can understand, saying that this people did something for the club, they did not Shiite, they were all the time a minus zero, they don't make the difference, see, that is a reason why I don't take against Henry, because when he play good he make a difference, but Tainio, Solli, Le Toux, Marquez and Holgerslush, has been pure shiite, and don't deserve to be on this team....

    YES...

I even say to go as far to say start building the team around Dax. If not him, then who else?

Building the team around the trio of Dax, Cooper and Pearce would be nice.. Although, a bit expensive(Maybe just around Dax and Cooper)

I don't even really want to say it, but the other option would be Rafa at that spot.

Yeah there is a reason that Gaudette has been a backup his whole career in MLS. He did have a great stint with Puerto Rico in the USL but the quality there is lower.

Gaudette really only had 1 really poor game and another shaky one. He saved a lot of points for us and we should all be appreciative of what he did during his starting run.

But we have Meara, Robles, and Vuolo and we are set there.

Solli in his first season was a monster, one of the best right backs in the league i thought at that time.

If you Analise the caned of Tainio, Solli, and Gaudette, you will come to the conclusion that was the right and only thing to do:

1.-Gaudette will be out a bunch of games with Puerto Rico, World CUP and Gold CUP games..
2.-We have Cahill as The third Forward/CAM...Plus Lindpere as CMF....
3.-Tainio and Solli can't play wingers and we have Lade and Lloyd to do that job...

If you think about for a second, that Robles and Meara have nothing to envied Gaudette, and because he will have to miss bunch of games representing PR, he was the logic choice to go....

And Having Cahill and McCarty with Lade and Cahill forming a diamond formation, we don't need players on the 200K as Subs, making Tainio and Solli the logic players to get the boot....

To this list of: Gaudette, Solli and Tainio ...........................$ 453,255,00 I will add:
Holgersson, Miller, Digao, Palsson, LeToux, Keel, Pearce, Marquez $ 1,1622,095.00 to free $ 1, 615,350.00...

Of course, isn't need to send packing all of this players, but keep them under the burners will be a thing to do, because with the reminding players we can have a Line Up like this:
    .................First team.............................................................Subs and Bench
    ===================================================
    .........................Meara.............................................................Robles, Vuolo
    Barklage....Pearce....Conde....Lade........................................Borrajo
    ......................McCarty
    Lloyd.................................Lindpere
    .......................Cahill
    ......Cooper..................Henry.................................................Hertzog, Arteaga

Like you can see at the left, we have a pretty decent line-up, and will little twink here and there if the new coach knows how to use those 1.5Millions, can refurbished the team pretty good, players like Holgersson, Miller, Palsson, LeToux, Keel and Perace, have to demonstrate on the post season training, that they are imprescindibles and better than they counterpart that stay on the roster, on the contrary let them go, trade or what ever....

Looking at the lineup with what we have left, I still agree with koko that all we really need are a few starting quality outside players. Lade is not even close to a starting quality defender right now, Lindpere doesn't have the motor to play 34 games anymore, and both Barklage and Sam have injury problems. Bringing in 2-3 starting quality players in the spots and rotate them in with the guys we have now.
