    Kinda true.

Gomez is not an international level winger. He works at the concacaf level because he has a high work rate, but he's probably better off as a CF for the international game.

The thing about Gio, well Gio is Gio. The guy has quality regardless of playing time. As for wingers in the league, they're ok. some good some bad.

I wonder if Roger Allaway will place this significant victory above or below the 1-4 moral victory over Neymar's Brazil?

Haha so I found this one on another site, talking about the U.S and Russia friendly. There is so much lolz on this I don't even know where to begin....
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love how our press has unrealistic expectations for the national side. When did the US deserve any expectations? Fact: despite the fact that this country gets carried away with Friendly matches, results are results. Without full strength sides in any of these games, the US has won at Italy, at Mexico, and drawn with Top 10 Russia in 2012. It does not help that the commentators are extremely too harsh on the lads, Taylor Twellman being a glaring example. Twellmen rips Altidore for what should have been "an easy touch," but Twellman was the one shunned by second division German football while Altidore is the one who is scoring in a prominent European league. These same commentators go easier on MLS players, such as Zusi and Agudelo for example, while being unrealistic towards Gatt and Parkhurst because they play in Europe. 2012 was a success. Full stop. When the likes of Holden, a rested and fit Brek Shea, and Onyewu are back in the fold, this is a dangerous team. Mexico is not as far ahead as people think. All of that seemingly rests on the shoulders of Chicharito. If he is scoring, they are better. If he is not, is the US better? I believe we are equal. This country is on the cusp of making a Quarterfinal run in Brazil 2014. If they can get that far, who knows after that? Comes down to luck most of the time, example was the uncalled handball in the Quarters against Germany in 2002. less

They struggle in actual competitive matches against the mighty and world power Jamaica, Guatemala and A&B but they are on the cusps of a quarter final run:laugh:
If Ch14 isn't scoring the U.S is equal........ Yeah cause Cheech scored all four goals in the gold cup beat down right....
And the kicker is he seems to acknowledge the fact the friendlies are meaningless but at the same time uses friendly results to recite that the U.S are quarter finalists ignoring all competitive matches where U.S looks to be a team fighting to even make the World Cup.
    Nad Delusion is fun:speechless:

lol a nad using "lads" He must have just got The Cable

If he thinks those are the guys that are going to help his team be a world power, he's in for a rude awakening. Gooch was never good in my opinion and now there's no coming back for him. Holden was good but where is he after that unfortunate injury against Holland.

Gooch is horse$hit. I have never understood how that guy is a pro player, much less on ANY national team. The only thing I can come up with is his size. Other than that, the guy is horrible. His touch and skill on the ball is horrendous. But whatever, If ze german brings him back to the NT (which I doubt), it would be a huge mistake.
