After my hilarious post of "Ken's got crabs" that misidentified Ken as the dude holding the crab, I posted a thread in the LFC NSR forum with my picture. Feel free to add yours so we can put a face to the name. Or don't. Whatever suits. :)

Just got back from Skyfall. I'm not a Bond enthusiast by any means, and I've only really seen the Daniel Craig ones so far other than GoldenEye; but I did enjoy the movie, other than the very end of the climax which kind of spoiled the mood for me. Opening credits scene is awesome and the sets/locations are good as well. Nice movie overall.

I went to see it last night. Excellent entertainment, almost no stop action from Daniel Craig as a grittier version of the plummy, ponsie Bonds prior to him.

I'll take Bosnan and Connery out of that statement.

Peachy Carnahan and Daniel Dravot. I had that movie for a long time on vcr.
Mountains, falling on heads all around...Billy Fish.

My buddy's dad in Scotland, swears Sean Connery laid his carpet. Could have been before he was acting..:)

Yeh, saw that "first time" in 1969.
Liked it so much that I had to read the history on the times and even made a point of going there, to Chinon Castle couple of years back.

Just a few miles down the road is Fountevraud Abbey where Henry II, his Queen Eleanor and Richard the Lion Heart were burried.

I loved going to historic sites, old abbeys, castles etc when I lived in Harrogate. My ex however failed to share my enthusiasm at all. To quote her--"You've seen one old church, you've seen them all." I went out and explored on my own plenty after that comment much to my delight with trips to Bath ( a great book store at the time right across from the train station that had first editions of great authors like Dickens, Austen et al) Edinburgh, York, and various villages around North Yorkshire. I loved it. One day, I'll make it back over there to see more. One cathedral in particular that I am looking forward to is a place called Anfield.

I love going to old sites and even newer cathedrals. Seen them all over. Vienna, Venice, Florence, Rome, Pisa, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, Avignon, Sienna, Frankfurt, Edinburgh, London, Liverpool, Dublin, Cork, Galway, Glasgow, NYC, DC, Boston, Santa Fe, Mexico City, Guadalajara, San Francisco, Montreal, Quebec etc etc etc. never mind exploring the pubs

That is pretty amazing, really impressed I like it a lot.

I'm not at all religious but old buildings and new are testiment to man through the ages. I live the old cathederals the worn steps were people have walked that way over the eons.

We arrived in Lincoln one year and found that they were having a concert in the cathederal. Classical music, featuring a Japanese Soprano. What a wonderful evening, fantastic acoustics. The intermission they served a good selection of wine and cheese. Quite civilized really. Then after the break, while this lady's wonderful voice filled the cathederal the sun was setting through the rose window making for a wonderful atmosphere. Great moments in travel

It was completed in 1954 and designed by Le Corbusier. I went on a European Modern Architecture tour back in 1997, 30 days of pure architecture & drinking. Was a great trip. :D

Stone spiral steps. Amazing the first time you walk put them, beautiful the second set. By the time you get to your 20th set of stone spiral steps, you start getting dizzy. :)

So we've moved into new offices and I had a cool piece added to the wall in my office which I really love by a n artist called Michelle Carnes from Sebastopol in CA. I love what she did and she has only done my office so far, she hasn't even started the rest of it yet. But I thought you guys would appreciate it. My company branding with the picture, I'm loving it.
