Very tactical match, 1-1 in chances so far.

Robben shows off more of his recent poor finishing. Lucky, as he was a fraction offside and the flag didn't come.

This "Spain system" is SOOOOOO awesome, unbelievable offensive play so far. Especially Götze works VERY well!

Nice snapshot from Reus. One bright moment in what has been a dull first half so far.

We're trying to pass the Dutch to death here, and it isn't quite working.

Positive performance I'd say. Lack of end product but variety is very encouraging.

Man of the half Gündogan with a fine effort, excellent orange clearance.

    I think it's been a positive half.

A lot of good things here. We're better at keeping and moving the ball around.

Our movement finally doesn't look entirely rigid and predictable. I'd love to see heatmaps from this match.

Netherlands playing incredibly conservative. Everyone staying in their own half.

This won't click into gear right away but so far there are only positives to draw from these 45 minutes.

Lol. Positive performance my ass. This is at best at the level of a preseason friendly with hardly any end product and a lot of inaccuracies in our game with hardly any creativity upfront.

e: hehe, the typical FR and SM statements...

Nah, I don't think so. We're the better side, more dangerous and had chances to score 2-3 goals already. I don't know what inaccuracies you're talking about exactly or what you were expecting from a mid-season friendly with key players missing on both sides.

They love watching endless passing with no end product.

Let's have some balance here guys.

Overall, it's been positive rather than negative. The Dutch have offered little, and we have made the better chances. With a slightly better rub of the green Götze might have scored, and Gündogan was close just before the half-time whistle.

OK, it hasn't been exactly riveting - it's sort of like watching Spain-lite. That said, it's a massive improvement from the blancmange we saw last month in Berlin.

We all know why this team isn't playing as well as it should be. We need to put 2 wingers in the fullback positions, 2 midfielders in the cb position. We can't play without a single cb in the formation, so sub Neuer out amd put Hummels in his place. Dream Team!

Of course we are better, what else? Look at that dutch team, it has half the quality of ours and yet we don't create that much or have clear controll over the game.
Your defence is pretty much "we are better than the really bad dutch team". That doesn't make our game any good.
