Süddeutsche Zeitung revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson pushed hard for Robert Lewandowski to be included in the Kagawa deal and was highly bemused by Dortmund's refusal to play ball. In a possible case of mistaken identity, the Munich-based paper also wrote that United are now "so strong in attack with Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and the freshly signed 18-year-old wonderkid Angelo Hernández" that their interest in the Polish striker has cooled: "That's the reason why his agents are banging the promotional drum again."

Interesting and has been reported before a few times too. Reckon the RVP deal at that time wasn't there, so can see it being true.

Speaking of Angelo - doesn't look good for the kid. Considering our current strike force there simply isn't room for a budding striker. Not to mention that even when when Rooney and RvP are gone, he'll be fighting off the advances of young Will Keane and Welbeck will probably be established by then.

If he is good enough he will break through.

Was reading that Rio will decide after Christmas about his extension, didnt realize he was 34 probably because he never shows it, he never needs to be protected or be in a special system. What a player he has been, legendary.

Reports from Russia that we've made a 20million Euro bid for Sneijder, I can't believe it tbh, he would have been good 1.5 years ago but now we have Kagawa and such and he wouldn't want to play on the wing and his wages are too high ect. ect.

I'm sure he'll leave Inter but it's silly to think we'd be in for him.

    We'd play him in midfield.

No place or position for him, waste of transfer fees and waste of wages.

20M would be decent value. I wouldn't dismiss anything until I knew what wages he'd be on. He'd be okay in CM next to Carrick if push came to shove.

He'd be an upgrade in CM, plus he is CL ready if we get him in January.

well i fired up the new fm 2013 and immediately bought icsco and strootman and sold valencia. :)

not a lot of steel, but some beautiful football with nani and kagawa playing as inside forwards, or inverted wingers if you will.

    -------rvp-rooney
    kagawa------------nani
    --------isco-carrick------

The best thing about FM is player combos that dont work in real life, work superbly in the game.

haha, touché. you can retrain players in fm 2013 and isco is now an exquisite DLP with phenomenal vision.

but i wouldn't be mad at fergie for playing him in the middle. after all, we play cleverley there and he has no positional awareness and always leaves carrick by himself.

Huge Sneijder fan, but it's 2 years too late. And he's very injury prone, especially these days. I wonder what league he will end up in...only a matter of time before Inter sell.

strootman trail is getting hot again according to the twatters. intrigued to see if he could do a job next to carrick since he likes to run around a little bit more. we could field two CMs over 6'0 and 150 lbs soaking wet.. imagine that!

He is also a very good footballer so would be a very nice addition, Lars or him and we would be on the right path to rectify midfield.

As I have said before, Strootman has been meh for a while now. I wouldn't expect him to make any immediate improvements.

    To our midfield?

Unless you think Cleverley, Fletcher or Anderson are better?

At this moment, Cleverley is clearly better. As is Anderson for about 30mins a game.

Would anyone take Ashley Cole for a 2 year deal? I would but he would be on high wages.
