Really fun game to watch the rest of the team actually looked alive today to. It was the best I have seen Arouca play in months.

Now this is a collective GOLAÇO... Why can't we play like this every game...? :p

EDIT: Also, here is the Neymar homage by Cruzeirenses (at 1:55 onwards):

Yea because veteran midfielders don't work in the brasilerao. You must be forgetting deco, juninho, Ze Roberto, and Seedorf all of which have had injury concerns. If he can be had cheap its a great move but i agree it is a little bit risky.

Latest Rumours: Santos hunting Lugano, Nenê, Renato Augusto and Coutinho. Just rumours, don't take them too seriously since I doubt it will come true.

What bothers me is that I don't hear ANYTHING, not even rumours, about we signing LBs or CBs.

These are more important upgrades than attacking players. I can't take another season of Juan, Leo and Durval.

Has Galhardo gotten any playing time for you guys? I'm sure you'd get some satisfaction in knowing Ibson has been shit the whole year.

Well Galhardo got a pretty bad injury and was out most of the time. He broke something on his foot. He just returned and will be given some chances in those last matches. I'm actually not that worried about the right side of our defense to be honest, between him, Bruno Peres and Crystian we have plenty of options according to what is needed. CBs though we've being tortured far enough by Durval and Bruno Rodrigo, we were quite unlucky that Dracena got hurt when he was reaching his top form... David Braz didn't show anything worth of notice tbh. If we don't sign anyone I want to see Dracena+ Gustavo Henrique there, Jubal and Braz as subs, Durval and Bruno should simply get the hell out of here... Oh and we simply have NO ONE at LB... Léo needs to retire, Juan can be barely called a professional player, our youngsters are untested but I don't see a HUGE talent there either...

It seems like both sides ended up losing in this trade. Certainly was one of Santos worst trades ever, to pay 7m euros for Ibson then trade him for Galhardo and Braz. I can't blame Ibson entirely because he was being dropped by Muricy to give Elano more playtime, yet we ended up losing both and we had to see the likes of Gerson Magrão there

I'm pretty sure Fla gave cash in the deal also. But I have no idea how much.

A quick search told me that Flamengo also paid 1m euros to Spartak, the last parcel of Santos's buy. So technically it was 6m for Galhardo and Braz, still doesn't look good.

both Galhardo and Braz were never good to begin with. Someone didn't do their research in that backroom staff at Santos.

Lance! has an article last week about our being interested in Rhayner and Douglas Santos. Not sure how much of a mature leftback Douglas is.

Well it seems like Neto, CB from Guarani, is already doing his medical exams to sign for us... Pretty safe to say he will be ours unless something unexpected happens.

Nenê was scouted but his salary is too high, Diego Souza is being considered but he is not the priority. The number 1 candidate to be our new playmaker is Renato Augusto, negotiations are underway.

Meanwhile, rumours say that we are also aiming for Eugenio Mena, LB from La U and who is currently being called by the Chilean NT.

I also believe that he would be very useful, I'm just worried about his temper.

    Netto is a done deal.

Hopefully Neto is good enough to displace Durval. Not a big fan of Souza to be honest. Hopefully we get Mena. He'll fix the leftback problem.

Ademir Quintino now says that Ronaldinho wishes to play for us next year... I doubt it o_O Anyway I dunno if he would be a good role model for our youngsters or even Neymar... But he did play a good Brasileirão this year.

I'm worried about what his turning down the chance to play in the Libertadores again says about his motivation.

Well the game at the weekend is just another reminder that Neymar needs more help. I just hope Felipe Andersons value keeps inflating so he can be sold at a high price. I would be for having Ronaldhino you can not get a better player on a free transfer. His performances this year proves he is an elite player in the Brasilerao not to much can be said about that even if you don't like his old age and character.

I'm just as puzzled as Socratinho on why would he drop the chance to play Libertadores in a team that is already well built to join us, a tema that didn't manage to qualify and will most like suffer a big reconstruction for the next season.

And it seems like LAOR, our president, will demand compensation from CBF for taking our best players for over half of the Brasileirão, claiming that they forced us to play with 11 "cabeças de bagre" and missing a Libertadores spot because of that.

Yup, he just called most of the team "cabeças de bagre", or terrible players in another words. Oh they will be so happy to hear that! I can't even imagine what they're gonna in the game against our biggest rivals in the last rounds! ( Corinthians and Palmeiras)... I fear for the worst.

    Ronaldinho wants to join Santos?

While I agree that a R10-Neymar partnership would provide a much-needed boost to Santos and make it a great contender in the Copa do Brasil (the "quickest" way to reach the Libertadores), why would he leave Belo Horizonte, given how well he's adjusted and how well he's played there?

LAOR said that about Santos? Really?

Well it seems like what LAOR TRULY said was: " IF we only had a team of 11 "cabeças de bagre" then Muricy wouldn't have problems if a few players were called, but they were craques which were sorely missed."

Lancenet, the first media to post the news which was quoted by UOL in the link I mentioned, ommited the IF. It surely was an innocent slip up right?

    And I was fooled.

What is everyone's opinion on Felipe Anderson and your expectations for him now that the seasons pretty much over?

He needs to improve a lot, specially his consistency and grit. Right now we can't rely on him, giving him the number 10 for next season would be suicide. But he is a useful backup for now, and he has the talent and youth to improve, we must be patient.
