I thought we should have sold him in the summer based on my speculation that the season would be like it is thus far. His performances this season have done nothing but reinforce that opinion. In my opinion, De Rossi has basically been our worst player on the field this season. I think it's time to move on.
Not willing to ever give up on DDR, no matter how open the wounds are of Sunday...Side note I do hope he met Mauri in the tunnel when he was sent off and kicked the crap out of him. Dirty cheating match fixing gypsy pig. Feel free to add more, I'm sures theres plenty more words to describe him
He went to the Lazio dressing room and apologized to Mauri. Didn't feel the need to apologize to us though.
I would have a serious talk with him and then decide... if he isnt totally into what we're doing then he is gone.
I'm with DDR, I really just don't know. I probably won't be happy either way really unless De Rossi some how finds his form. Also worry about our future leadership if he leaves. I doubt Totti is going to go completely injury free in the last few years he has left, and Burdisso's days as a starter are just about over. So I don't know who is going to lead our team when Francesco is out.
This is where I am, If he has some kind of problem or there is something that can't be resolved I'd sell him, but there is too many unknowns. The media makes up BS every day about us so its hard to know exactly what is going on. If De Rossi want's out we cash in now, if he is dedicated to the team and wants to fight year in year out for us, and this slow start to the season is simply just a spell of bad form than I'll support him forever. With De Rossi out 3 games it will give us a little glimpse at a life without DDR.
Only sell him if he wants to leave. I also don't buy much of the media hype and speculation. He ********ed up yesterday but I'm sure as hell not going to say it's due to anything other than him being too caught up in emotions. Sucks but as a fan, I forgave him before he made it to the tunnel and can't wait to see him on the pitch in a couple of weeks in our shirt. He does need to play better and lead this extremely young team through example though, period.
Yeah we have a lot good candidates later down the line but they are all too young for right now. I'm talking over the next two or three years.
Yeh, he hasnt been doing good. But if u sell him, the quality in our midfield will go ape shit. And if we sell him, the unfortunate truth is we will go and spend the money on the next aldair or cafu in south america.Another guy we heard nothing off.
I guess the question isn't really "would you sell DDR?" As we all are undecided on that question and have nothing but a volatile, highly flammable mix of feelings on that topic — none of us really want to say what we really feel. The question is more like: "Would you care if DDR was sold for €25m to Man City or Real Madrid" My answer to this question is, it'd still hurt, but I wouldn't be nearly as emotional about it as I would have been this past summer. I think I'd actually be OK with it, if we had a couple of top flight defenders lined up for the money.
This notion that you sell a top midfielder to buy a couple of top defenders seems off to me. You sell De Rossi and you need to replace him first then you can spend the rest on some other players. Besides one of the reasons our defense is so bad is because the midfield is dysfunctional. A proper midfield would alleviate some of those problems.
I would really hate to sell him as he was once an untouchable just like Alberto, but it does look like the end of the road for him even after his contract signing. If we sell Daniele, it will allow for Pjanic to have a greater role. It will be a sad day in Rome if he leaves....just hope we get compensated well.
Unfortunately have to agree with you at this moment in time. But I am still not giving up on him giving his all to Zeman's tactics. A big part of the problem is DDR doesn't want to do the running anymore it seems, a change of attitude and a heart to heart with Zeman might, might change that but again unfortunately I am not sure anymore. But never give up on hope. And agree, if you sell DDR, to buy a top class replacment you need to spend a large chunk if not all the money brought in so regards a defender, Roma are still in the same position. The board should cough up the money, if they really want this club to go anywhere, enough of being miserable in that area.
I mean really ... they don't resemble each other in one bit. "If we sell Daniele, it will allow for Bradley to have a greater role." I fixed it for you.
