Cant play on the wings and cant play two man midfield, best position AM in a three man midfield or 10.

Think he is a bit more flexible than Kagawa.

Where else can he end up?

Arsenal ? Wenger loves his AMs as wingers. Tottenham, way better than Sigurdsson.

He is but what are we going to do with Kagawa then, by Kagawa I mean good player who doesnt fit into how we play. Would be another player on big wages without solving the non existent wing threat.

Rather have Holtby than Giggs and Young in their respectin positions though.

As we discussed earlier, there is no real top percentile dribbling options available.

Schalke to Arsenal is a sideways move, hard to see that happen.

Far better wages, opportunity to move to a real big club too after proving himself in the league :p.

I rather play youth instead of them but he doesnt solves anything.

About Kagawa, wouldn't be surprised if Fergie tries to morph in into a CM. Not sure it'll succeed though. I just dont see where else he could play for us and there is virtually no chance that Fergie will trust jim with a free role in a middle of a 4231 when he comes back from injury.

We see eye to eye on that at least.

Although, I do think he's far better than you are giving him credit for.

No I agree he is a very good player but I dont see where we will fit him, he isnt good enough to give him a special role or special dispensation though, and that is what I was debating all summer (not to say Reus is a better player in reality :p)

If there's one guy that does need to hit the weights, it's Kagawa. I don't mean to pack on huge amounts of muscle; just gain some more upper body strength.

We have kids in the academy his height that are much stronger than he is.

I think Holtby is currently a better player than Kagawa, more suited to this league but even with him I dont see where we will play him or fit him and as I said we already have problems with non threatening wings.

What's going on with Chung-Yong Lee nowadays? If he's still as good as he was in his Prem days I'd think he'd be worth a punt.

Also, are Ki Sung-Yeung and Wanyama two midfielders United should be looking at?

I dont think Ki is good enough, have not see Wanyama enough to comment but he may be lacking in technical ability so would be unsure.
Edit Have to say Ki have done well for Swansea so far, maybe let him have a full season in the league then analyze.

Chung-Yong Lee is back from injury and working his way back to full fitness. I'd give him a pass this season and wait and see what he does next year. I always enjoyed watching him and Holden play for Bolton.

Ahhh Holden, another player that doesn't belong in the Championship. I'd be shocked if both are still there come next season.

Also, I'm going to pretend like I didn't just read that post above mine.

If Gotze becomes available, next summer i can see us making a move though can't see us getting him.

Was thinking earlier and Jesus Navas ought to be due a move ? The big clubs in spain don't need him either and he said in recent times when linked with Arsenal that he won't rule out a move abroad , which used to be the case due to his home sickness.

Though, the drawback is that his best position is on the right, but then we did move for Lucas Moura.

Edit - Also, if we shift to a 4-2-3-1 sort of formation, then Munian could be a direct running option in a Wing forward role.

For Wanyama, want to see how he does when going forward at a good level, which i haven't seen so far due to his role in the celtic team. Maybe he could do something like a Yaya but hard to tell.

Ki has been good so far and has impressive possesion stats in a deeper role than he used to play, but still haven't seen that extra something in him so far. Agree that letting him have a full season would be a better guide.

You want to sell Nani and then get Navas? Why are you so keen on downgrading this team.

tbf Navas is better than Valencia.

I don't really want to sell Nani tbh, but if the management is not happy with his attitude then so be it.

And signing a winger as this summer showed isn't dependent on selling/or not selling Nani tbh. He will go due to his behaviour if he does, not because we think we will replace him with a better player.

And anyways, you overrate him a bit as per usual.

No special dispensation, just use him properly.

In matches where Wayne is played at striker, play Kagawa in the hole. In matches where Wayne is in the hole, bring Kagawa off the bench.

This should be our front 6 against most teams I think.

    ------------Rooney----------------RvP
    ----------------------Swagawa
    -------Cleverley---------------------Anderson/Fletcher
    ------------------------Carrick

Alternatively, Kagaway can play as a false 9, with Welbeck and Cheech on either side of him against weaker opposition.

    Welbeck----------------------------------------Cheech
    ------------------------Kagawa
    ----------Cleverley------------------Scholes
    -------------------------Carrick

How so? Older than Nani, less productive than Nani, never played out of his league heck never played out of Sevilla, has one style of play? Everything you could list for a potential flop and Navas has them.
