Game kicks off at 8:30 a.m. ET. BBC has both starting: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20196371
Spurs fans are going to hyperventilate. Dempsey and Adebayor starting. I will say, that takes some serious stones to bench(rightly or wrongly) a guy coming off a hat trick. Incidentally the betting lines have tilted heavily towards city over the last hour. I'm assuming over this news at least in part.
Spurs take the lead through a close header by Caulker. Bounced right off Hart's chest. (the commentator is still have a hard time identifying Duece)
I must say, I prefer the Dempsey that gets up, smiles and goes about his business after a foul to the one who acts like a persecuted target who must plead his case to the referee. . .
I've had this game on for 2 minutes and Clint's given it away twice. Frustrating to watch. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for him.
Oliver is having an absolute shocker with the whistle. Two obvious City penalties not given and every minimal touch is a Spurs free kick.
Half Demp and Ade doing pretty good job of holding the ball up top, with what ever little chances they have of receiving the ball. Though, Ade is doing a much better job than Demp.
Its funny, because I've seen a guy hold up some tough balls, make decent runs, draw fouls in dangerous spots, and also win the ball that lead to Huddlestones good chance. He has given away a couple of balls, but that is to be expected when you're out there to purposely make life hard on a very big, very physical back line with Kompany and co. He and Adebayor, who is having a great game, are making the City defense miserable. There isn't a spur outside Gallas whos having a bad match.
One. Gallas' hand ball. Huddlestone hit him *after* he had already dribbled the ball to far away from himself and cleared. No call to make there.
