This is my first time headed to the event. Just trying to learn more about the layout, what to expect...if its even reasonable product etc...

    Thanks!

I'm not sure what to expect. It used to be pretty sweet, lots of gear at good prices. But now merch has been taken over by another company, so I'm somewhat expecting the "deals" to be 20% off, instead of 60%.

I'm a little perturbed that it is at 8am on a Saturday (for season ticket holders, 10am for public) Seriously?! Who's brilliant idea was that?

The last Locker Room Sale they had was the same times.
It says "Up to" 75% off and bring 5 canned goods for an extra 10%.
Thats 5, not a single canned item as stated in the email.

They've had the same shit in the store for 2 years now so there might be a whole new line of shit coming out for next season.

The sale event will also feature a fine selection of Section 8 produced gear.

You don't want that...where would you keep him?

    Also, he's probably a bit pricey...unless he's 75% off...and with the canned goods...let's see...nah, you'd still have to be Andy Hauptman to afford him...for Andy, he'd be a steal...

Fire gear selection was utterly "meh" (unless your into small soccer shoes) which isn't surprising considering it's only the first year for the Quaker stuff.

Much more disappointing was the pricing, to be honest. $175 for a player jersey - regardless of which player it was??? A Rolfe or Friedrich jersey cost the same as a Gully or Pineda jersey? Really?

And a misspelled player jersey ("Freidrich", for example) was still $150? Come on.

I did pickup Klopas's practice jersey. Now I just have to lose 800lbs to be able to wear it and breathe at the same time.

This paled in comparison to past years. When we got there, a bit after 9, main things left were medium jerseys (way too small for me), and those overpriced named jerseys.

The $25 jerseys were the $150 Tech Fit ones but blemished. I got a large and it is painted on me. I'll just save it for my son when he's 5 lol.

    $150 Adidas Predators for $25

    Game worn shorts for $10

The Game worn Jerseys you have to figure are either the authentic jerseys ($110) or the tech fit, numbered, game worn so for $175 it was actually a deal but still to pricey to sell out of them. There were still Umanzor tops and shit there. Theyre also mostly M & L so not everyone can wear them. Probably would have been better if they were all signed by the player.

It seems like the locker room sale isn't sure what it want's to be.
    • A chance for fans to get exclusive gear?
    • A place for fans to find a bargain?
    • A fundraiser event for the Fire foundation?
It could be all three, but should probably have one of those three be main objective so fans know what to expect.

It was great to be able to offer S8C gear to folks without them having to walk a gauntlet of tailgate madness in the north lot.

Section 8's selection was better and more reasonably priced than the Fire jerseys, IMO.

I ended up not going myself but my brother went and facetimed me

got a shirt with the old logo C overlayed by the German flag and a whie new logo hat

tons of fire crown stuff, no surprise -- event will only get better as we move away from that disaster
