********. I'm not so keen on his replacement. Hopefully he can put in a better performance in the leauge than the CL. Seriously, what the ******** was he doing?
Playing nervously and a bit naively against a very good European side, flanked by an erratic David Luiz. Not an easy situation for the back-up fullback to come into, particularly when you consider how few times he's actually played that position for us against top-class opposition. He's clearly got more to offer than what he showed on Wednesday. I'm more concerned about an out-of-form Luiz facing a slippery character like Suarez than I am about Bertrand this weekend.
Spot on, shafer. Give the kid a break. That's the first really poor performance he's ever delivered in a Chelsea shirt. Luiz will be a key man in this match. He has the ability to frustrate a player like Suarez and dominate everything that comes into the main striker's area, but -- as we've seen all too often over the last month -- he also has the ability to single-handedly cost us goals. Let's hope the good David reemerges Sunday. His form down the stretch last season is a major reason we are European and FA Cup champions. Also, with players like Gerrard and Shelvey in their side, it is absolutely imperative that Mikel and Ramires play intelligently for 90 minutes and track their ********ing men all the way to the 6-yd box.
For me it started during the 2005-2008 seasons where we seemed to face them in the EPL, CL, and some other cup competition during a small period of time. And it seemed this way, year after year. On top, they won the CL and puffed their chests up - which only made Rafa look even fatter. Nevermind the public spats Rafa and Jose got involved with during the time, but the games always had teeth to them. I remember learning to despise Torres and the other dirty or diving players they had at the time (strangely i've forgotten them). I think it's time we give them a great romping.
Liverpool will lose to West Brom but always seem to get up for the big games. I can honestly see us dropping points tomorrow especially with the state our defense is in. I HATE/DESPISE/ETC Liverpool so much it pains me to say as much.
