    Here we go.

    Epic trip in store.

DC United's website is now saying the game will be 4pm (et) on Sunday 11/18/12.

Where is a good place to sit in that stadium? I've not found a seat I like yet when I've been there.

Allright. I'm in. I'll stand with the supporters groups. What section do I need to purchase tickets in?

I'm flying in Friday to avoid the crazy traffic in Austin that Saturday due to the F1 race. Flying back Monday. I still expect it to take me one-hour to travel the 20 minutes to the airport on Friday.

I'm proposing: a. Group dinner on Saturday night for anyone who wants to participate. b. We will need a place to watch the Western Conference Final on Sunday night.

Where's everyone staying. Ichecked all the Marriot's and they have a Residence Inn just South of the National Mall for $129. 1 block from the subway

I"m next to the Whitehouse in a W hotel. Incredibly low amount of points needed there that weekend.

My parents are in Maryland so I'm staying with them. We'll probably learn visiting supporters section details tomorrow.

I'm driving up from Hampton, VA. Stationed in the AF here, but Forever Orange. I was praying it would be Houston vs DC. I wanted to see a playoff game. I am staying with some friends in Columbia, but would be up for dinner Saturday...

When I go to RFK I try to stay in Crystal City. The hotels tend to be cheaper in VA and it's on the Metro and only a couple of stops from RFK.

Someone who knows the area please propose an inexpensive pub, on the metro, for those who would enjoy getting together for food and drink saturday.

Same thing for a sports bar where we can watch SEA v LAG Sunday night.

Does the Metro run Midnight to 1AM on Sunday night?

This is where we pre-gamed. Good beer selection, decent pub food. Across from Marine Barracks.

    closes at midnight.

there are no 'inexpensive' pubs in DC, at least by houston standards.

someone with some savvy should reach out to Hill Country DC ( http://www.hillcountryny.com/locations.dc ) and see if they are willing to do some sort of special for Houston supporters pre or post game.

or there is Austin Grille, crappy cheap-ish tex-mex chain in the area.

I'd like to get something setup by Tuesday -- then get the info out as wide as possible.

So lets get a vote going here on this thread -- what events would you like to see organized for Dynamo fans up in DC to be able to join?

    A. Saturday night food/drink/ social?
    B. Sunday pregame? (Weather looks like it will be nice, so we really don't need this right ... pregame tailgate at RFK???)
    C. Sunday postgame to celebrate/commiserate/watch SEA v LAG.

Vote and if you have an opinion on a place state that as well. Please.

I'm arriving 12:44 Saturday and staying at 1 of the Marriot's between the White House and Verizon. I'm open to go wherever a cab can take me

Najar suspended two extra games. So he misses both of the matches against us. No Hammid for the first match either. We must take advantage of that on Sunday.

Have to say I'm a little surprised Najar got suspended for that long, but I'm glad.

Forgive me for looking ahead. But was there a bus to LA last year for the cup? Any chance there will be one this year if we make it?

Yes, Oscar de la Hoya got the bus, don't know if he'd do it again. Maybe if it was against LA again he might. Wo knows.

Paging *rey* and yossarin, is this the "new" El Paso kid?

Well then ask Wo, since he knows.

I personally don't think he will, but that's just me.

i think we're OK. he did first apologize to the soccer gods so as to not incur their wrath then used the correct conjuction ("if") to ward off any bad karma. but i would say this is the limit, anything further such as posting potential westward airline/train/bus/car itineraries is strictly prohibited.
