Credit where credit is due. I was bitching about him last night for not scoring, but he did have a good game, and sent in a perfect pass to Russell for the secondary assist on the goal.
Thanks, that is what I am planning to do. My daughter who lives in DC says Metro but with one hour from scheduled arrival to listed "kick-off", I want to be as early as I can be. The match I bought plane fare for is the MLS Cup at RFK on 12/1 @4:30pm; I expect kick-off around 5. I could have done Houston if the match had stayed on Saturday. I can't do weekday flights and go to work.
I think the answer to that question is work rate. Pajoy is just more active than Santos. I know the rap on Santos in the past has been that he's a bit lazy. I'm not saying that, but I do think he drifts in and out of games. We've had this discussion about Pajoy for a while now. I remember in one of the post game threads a few matches back, someone (can't remember whom) had, to my mind, an excellent analysis of various forward roles and concluded that he/she still didn't know what Pajoy was. I've thought about this a lot and my conclusion is that Pajoy is something new. You've heard of a defensive mid; well he's a defensive forward. He'll score the occassional goal, but he's there to keep the offense moving and to get onto the numerous long balls out of the back. asitis
Wait, it isn't a given that MLS Cup is at RFK. Are you just buying a ticket to MLS Cup generically? Or can you reserve an MLS CUP ticket at RFK in case the game ends up there?
That's well said, you may have something there. It might be taking negative football to new heights, but if it wins...
I talked to my ticket rep today - DCU is still working on their ticketing plan for the POSSIBILITY that we'll host. He did not even know yet if STH's will get the opportunity to buy their regular seats in advance of the public sale - so, no - I don't think you can reserve anything yet. Net is ... it wouldn't go buyin' plane tickets yet anyway
I'm gonna guess he'll say he lives by the Boy Scout motto - Be Prepared and if DC doesn't advance, he can trade in his tickets and visit his daughter another time.
Aaaaand Backe is toast. http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/news...unce-contract-hans-backe-will-not-be-extended
Don't worry. MetroBulls have seventeen years of repeating mistakes. I'm sure they'll find another bad coach who can't manage his players.
Ask and ye shall receive Recording podcast tonight at 8:30pm and it will be posted by tomorrow. This one is going to be epic..
Wanna see something funny? MetroFanatic.com has a "trophy case" page for the Cows: http://www.metrofanatic.com/story.jsp?ID=3 2000 Eastern Conference 2001 MLS Preseason Tournament 2004 La Manga Cup 2008 Western Conference 2010 Disney Pro Soccer Classic 2011 Emirates Cup Four exhibition tournament trophies and two 2nd place "trophies"! Metro, this is a trophy case: http://www.dcunited.com/club/trophy-case
If Emirates Cup trophies actually counted no one would be going on about how Arsenal haven't won a trophy seven years.
You bet your azz season ticket holders get first shot at their seats before the public. That is part of the point of having MLS Cup at he highest remaining seed. Atmosphere, which is created by fans of the home team.
How many trophies have you won, Red Bulls, Red Bulls? How many trophies have you won? NOT A GOD DAMNED ONE!!!!!!!
