Oh well. Had to end sometime but against Inter? We can't have our two best strikers on the bench.

“Unfortunately we lost after 49 games, but Inter took their chances and we didn’t. The fact it was against Inter won’t leave any scars, as we played well and had several opportunities to double our lead in the first half,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We struggled a little from the penalty onwards, but remain proud of these players who were unbeaten in 49 and it’s just a pity about this game. We must look forward. We have to thank our fans for applauding right to the end and I’m sure there will be no psychological blowback.
“We have always played the same way and had three chances to score in the opening 10 minutes with Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal. I only recall Antonio Cassano’s shot wide in the first half.
“We did not underestimate Inter. We were ready for them to play with a trident or a 3-5-2. We were prepared and did not make the most of our opportunities, then ran into difficulties after the break.
“Inter did not create much in the first half. Clearly if one of Marchisio’s chances had gone in then we’d be talking about a different match.
“Inter will certainly be in the Scudetto race to the end. We accept this defeat, but will certainly not make a drama out of it.”
Alessio reiterated that Juventus are still top of the table, but playing in the Champions League this season is making a difference.
“Playing every three days it’s not easy to maintain that intensity. We have to take our chances or will be made to pay against an excellent side like Inter.
“We misplaced too many passes and the interceptions saw them cause problems for us on the counter-attack.
“Clearly the forwards were too hasty in the first half when able to combine. Regardless of that, the team took the initiative and failed to score a second goal, so Inter eventually emerged.”
Mirko Vucinic limped off with a calf problem at half-time, so is in doubt to face Nordsjaelland.
“We are already looking forward to a very important Champions League game. We want to keep going and absolutely must win. Vucinic got a knock to his calf and the muscle hardened, so he had to go off. We’ll see what his condition is tomorrow.”

Don't forget to mention Buffon. Today was not his day either. He could definitely had the PK shot, better stop on the 2nd goal as well as he got his hand on the 3rd goal. I am not putting all the failure on Buffon as the whole team under performed and we deserved the loss. Maybe it is the kick in the ass to come back down to reality we really need to change some things up and not keep doing the same thing over and over again. I hate losing, but losing to Inter is worse

Everyone who has something negative to say on the internet these days is branded a troll. It has to be one of the laziest words to ever exist. Why can't people such as yourself take the banter? I know what your going to say, "oh it's because your not funny", predictable. What's wrong with having some jokes between fellow Serie A fans? It keeps these boards alive at times man. Oh and not being abusive or "trolling" or any other name you can think of, but Inter deserve credit tonight. Congrats to them.

Hmm, I don't see anyone here not congratulating Inter. Many of us admit that Juve were crap and deserved the loss.

The problem is that you only come in here to berate the team and add nothing to the discussion.

what a sad day it was for me

truly painful to end ur unbeaten run like this at home against the most hated team! but i guess it had to come to an end at some point....quite honestly i kinda saw it coming, i didnt wanna speak up but i had a feeling we couldnt keep up the unbeaten run much longer.

im quite disappointed at our players...i love most of them but god damn some games they are no shows and it costs us big time....we def. need new strikers, i like quags stilll but all the others have to go....im down with keeping gio but bendtner what a waste....shoulda been quags coming in and then later someone from the mid like pogba to sub vidal or someone

The problem may be in attack but yesterday it was the midfield and defense that let us down specifically Lichtsteiner and Marchisio. Marchisio was the goat of the game. Had 3 chances to kill the game early then pulled his invisible man act until he gave Milito a PK. Assamoah wasnt much better either and basically you had Pirlo and Vidal trying to do everything by themselves but even those two were at fault for the 2nd goal but this is what happens when the rest of the team wasnt there mentally and physically we got the shit kicked out of us which seems to be happening alot lately. At the end of the game there was no doubt who the fitter team was as we were running on fumes.

No doubt, I agree. The MF was poor yesterday. I thought Pirlo played well, but Vidal, outside the goal, made a number of errors. Marchisio was pedestrian. Asamoah could not beat Zanetti and Licht was lucky not to be sent off.

That said, the one constant we have is that the strikers continue to fail to capitalize on their chances. We almost always dominate possession and create more chances then our adversaries, however, we are lacking in a player who can continuously put them away. It's not a systematical issue; it's an issue of quality.

It appears that Marrotta recognizes that; however, he doesn't recognize the importance as we seem unwilling to spend the necessary money to bring in the guy that solves that problem. That guy will not come cheap, and for good reason.

I too think we need an upgrade upfront but I wouldnt buy just for the sake of buying. The player must fit and right now outside of Balotelli I'm not sure who does fit though some of the others mentioned in the past like Falcao or Suarez would probably do well here even it took them some time to get acclimated. Balo could come right in and we'd get better intsantly because he already has chemistry built with guys like Pirlo Giovinco and Marchisio.

Speaking after the final whistle, Marotta said: “We weren’t at our best, even though, looking at the first half, we perhaps created more than they did. We didn’t keep a high tempo as we usually do, but after all the games we’re involved in, including international fixtures, perhaps we’ve paid the price of tiredness.”

I truly believe the team played better under Carrera than Alessio. Alessio just stands there and looks flummoxed half the time. Carrera had heart and showed it, he was very animated and always barking instructions.

Well, it was to be expected that the great undefeated run (Seria A record?) would be ending sometimes during this season ... but at home just against Inter (who are also only 1 point behind now) hasn't been the right moment, has it? Damn!

    Buona notte.

overall Inter's win was the crappiest win of all time....3 lame ass goals, pretty much all our faults. Penalty was non existent so they got gifted...2nd and 3rd goal were compeltely defensive relapses that we continue to do....even in NT with our back line...i dont know what it is but our guys can be world class and then all of a sudden when the other team finds the hole we cant seem to stop it.

i also hate it when PIRLO and VIDAL sometimes do some dangerous passing which led to one of the goals at least...pirlo gets too confident at time, i just wish he would get rid of the ball instead of trying to dribble everyone

yea def. we shoulda stuck to carrera...he was doing good

conte coming back is great...those in game coaching and especially half time is whats missing now. I think this game, the shakhtar game and few others could've been different if conte was present.

Another unimpressive performance by Juve. We've been lucky keeping the unbeaten streak alive for ages now so this was bound to happen. This team has so many holes it's like swiss cheese.

De Ceglie misses out after reporting a light strain in the adductor muscle of his left thigh. Pepe will figure for the Primavera in Siena as he bids to regain full fitness, while Pogba remains behind in Turin after arriving late to training on two separate occasions.

    1 Buffon
    2 Lucio
    3 Chiellini
    4 Caceres

    12 Giovinco
    15 Barzagli
    17 Bendtner
