Maza to me is irrelevant with the NT too IMO. Chicharo at least bounces back and forth between bench and weekend hero.

unless Maza moves to Atletico/other european team the centerbacks for CC/WC should be: Moreno, Ayala, Mier, Reyes.
I think Mier needs to be seriously considered. He possesses Rafa-like qualities neither Moreno nor Maza have.

If he doesnt get playing time or gets traded at the end of the season, im sure hes going to want to go back to Mexico. If he cant get time in Valencia he isnt going to get time in a bigger team than that.
He won't go anywhere. If he can't get playing time at Valencia, there are plenty of other teams in Spain where he could play.
Guardado to Mexico? he already has certain prestige in Spain and holds a Spanish passport, he will stay in Europe for a long time.
he said it himself he would get payed twice as much in Mexico. he also said the reason he wants to stay in spain is because he wants to prove that mexicans can succeed in europe but so far hes done nothing, i dont blame him though he did great with depor but he carried the team even though they went to the second division.
