I think they overhype the altitude.

At monterrey which is only 500m above sea level I run 5km 3 days a week. Well Im in San Luis this week for work and the altitude is 1800m. I was still able run my morning 5k without.a difference.

To be fair, I don't think we are better than Italy. They did get to the Euro final and eliminated Germany. And they gave Spain a run until the dumb coach subbed in Thiago Silva only for him to get injured and end up with 10 guys.

I agree, but that wasn't the point, the point was all of those teams can be interchangable. Italy will clim back to a top 10 spot by 2014. But using the SPI rating is different from FIFA rating. The point was all those teams ahead of Italy are as good and some better. But pointing out the obvious and all of the sudden it's about Mexico. That's how ingrain we are to their heads.
