Sooner or later not starting a game well was gonna bite them in the ass. Trying your luck with a team that is more skillful was asking too much. At some point quality and experience matters.

Ike and Baca's spots need to be re-examined so that we can be more competitive with the CCL coming next year.

hand it to LA, twice knocking us as top seeds out somewhat balances the greatest game in MLS history. they still bought the win.

Hey, I just wanted to chime in because I come in peace. Don't let this result discourage you guys. You gave us hell all year and you still won the California Clasico. And you got the Shield, which means you get to do some regional CCL work. Keep your chins up, you all had a fantastic season.

And we'll see you next year. Cheers,

    H

Wondo missed, Dawkins missed. Stott the blind one was in the cente, Season over.

    What a great show.

I'm glad it was Keane who did us in. Would have been harder to take if it was Landy or Spice Boy.

The scum showed some Quakes character, our luck ran out.

Team looked out of it all night.
That hoofing the ball up the field relentlessly never pays off. Few long range shots on a sub par keeper with the defense backed in their own end.

I think Ike is gonna be trade bait in the off season. The step from college to pro level is too much for him. Just can't keep his head in the game when he is on the field.

What I hope this season does is make this team even more hungry. From the players to the front office, I hope this season makes them even more committed to continue to invest in the team and improving the squad, because they are not far off.

You know Ike has some ability to play in this league with some of the plays he can come up with, but too often he just loses his composure or concentration.

thats a bit much, most of those boys did a job this season, big reason we were where we are.

Ike on the other hand.......that one could be his death knell...... Games like that are where you need to show up when called upon, and he completely struck out.

Would he better served playing a Ricardo Clark type role?

I don't know, but I think at a lower pay rate Ike would worth a gamble to keep around because of how a performance like this can motivate a person to improve their abilities.

The back line looked lost without Bernardez. In my mind, he was the difference this season.

Great season and lots of reason for optimism next year. But still a heartbreaker. Same outcome as our last Supporters Shield in 2005...

This just occurred to me, we are the best team in the league and lost ONE game out of 4. so who cares? let them have their stupid cup. we and the league knows who the best team in this league really is, I mean SKC lost out to houston, and la beat us, its really all about a good day. LA had a good and lucky day. who cares, SKC can kill galaxy and we have done so 3 times.

but, if we play on the wings alot and cross in, why is our field so narrow? doesn't that limit our options?

I'm disgusted. I still haven't watched all of it. I noticed right away how the ref was calling lot of fouls and us and giving the filth free kicks in our end, but we finally got off the dime and started attacking, he let a lot of their fouls go. No yellows for diving Buddle either. Not happy.

And yeah, our guys played like crap. And Bernardez's yellow was well earned, could have been a red.

Just so sick I want to puke.

    GO QUAKES!!
