Anyone notice that when Kamara was flopping all over the place in exaggerated pain because of contact that was as much his fault as it was Carr's, there was no one standing over him and taunting? I like and respect SKC and their fans, but between Kamara's douchery and Vermes' asswipery, I'd just as soon see the Dynamo go through.

Man, you gotta love the playoffs. What a great slate of games for Leg 1. IMO, Salt Lake is winning MLS Cup.

To be fair, the playoffs look ugly without us in it.

Coaches are completely opposite in their attitudes. Olsen wants to go out there. Backe says the game should be postponed.

Meltdown time over in the DCU forum. I am thoroughly entertained with the comedic gold being provided by those crybabies.

I'm calling MLS cup finals right now: San Jose 1.0 vs San Jose 2.0.

That was a fun ride. KC played their hearts out but couldn't get any real chances besides the great goal.

Can't wait for the SJ-LA game later

Good thing you didn't run to the local bookie with that prediction.

Saw a humorous comment on ESPN Soccernet:

    "G's up, San Hoe's down."

Congrats to the Gals. As a neutral in these playoffs, I just want to see Seattle not win the whole thing.

Okay maybe that makes me un-neutral.

Is it good for the league to have a few dominant teams winning in today's MLS 2.0? Houston and LA come to mind because they are consistent in the playoffs. I think it is necessary for Galaxy, Houston, Seattle, RSL, and RBNY to do well on a consistent basis in order to provide some stature to the league. Parity is a great concept, but TV hates parity, NFL is a different animal, because it is hard to market a product if 20 different teams win 20 championships. I am using the perspective of MLS's ability to market the games for TV since the league is not that old and went through a lot of hiccups. NFL's rising popularity is due to gambling and fantasy football so parity is really pointless for that sport.

I'm not sure how any Crew fan can be okay with the Galaxy and their level of talent. It's bad enough that we get shredded by each expansion draft while they remain unscathed. It's even worse that a Galaxy team already loaded to the gills manages to add Keane and Wilhelmsson while the rest of the league, to at least some extent, is still relying on drafts and homegrowns for some of their starters.

Fine. As a longtime supporter of a lower-tier Scottish club, I've made my peace as best as possible with the reality that the marquee glamour boys must have their tomato cans to knock around. But MLS seems less subtle about that than some leagues. I can't wait to see the lengths they'll go to make the Cosmos an elite franchise.

If it helps any, I still hate the Sounders more than the Galaxy. But it's a pretty thin line. Somewhat like turning the clock back to 1944 and choosing between Russia and Germany. When all is said and done, screw both of them.

MLS not as subtle as you like them to be? I can go around the leagues in the world and tell you who the Top 4 clubs are going to be on a consistent basis. It is so painfully obvious who the Top 4 teams are in La Liga, EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredivisie, etc.....

To clarify, by other leagues I was referring to other American sports. What you are saying about those leagues is true. I don't like that trend there, and I don't much like it in MLS. Justify it any way you please.
