Referee will be Ovidiu Hategan from Romania. He has given 58 yellows and 6 penalties in 11 games during 2012/13. He hasn't sent anyone off yet.

    Lille Scouting-

    - Since losing to Bayern Lille have won 3 matches in a row.
    - Standout young left back Lucas Digne and captain Rio Mavumba are out with injuries.
    - Fromer HSV centerback David Rozenhal has been deployed in midfield for Lille the past 3 matches, a weakness Bayern should exploit.
    - France international right back Mathieu Debuchy returns from suspension.

    Probable Lille lineup:

    --------------Roux
    Payet------------------------Kalou
    --------Balmont-Martin
    ------------Rozenhal
    Bonnart-Basa-Chedjou-Debuchy
    ------------Landreau

Debuchy is actually a great fullback, surprised he didn't transfer after his performance at the euros. Extremely tenacious and strong.

I know Robben + Kroos are starting, Mueller probably on the bench as well. Dante and Boateng beasted their way the last game, and I expect Badstuber to remain on the bench since Alaba is fit for fullback.

I expect Martinez over Gustavo in Bayern home games at least..
It will be his only real chance to integrate into the starting 11..

I'm pretty sure that Badstuber is out for 4 weeks from an injury. I expect Robben to start, but Mueller is having an amazing season so far. He just cant stop scoring.

Good point, at the time I was thinking Gustavo may have taken a knock during the game so this may have been the reason for his substitution.

Since we haven't heard anything to that extend you may be right. JH may have just wanted him fresh for Lille

Live only on DirectTV, Foxsoccer2go, or find a feed. http://www.livesoccertv.com/

The one good thing about the bar where I watch, it's got DirectTV so we can see the CL matches live in HD, I just can't see the regular Bundesliga matches without pirating a feed :(

Side note: today the Dortmund : Madrid match is on FS+ instead of Schalke : Arsenal (on Foxsportsnet or Foxsoccer2go). I know the Gunners aren't hot yet this season - unlike Schalke - but I think it says something about Dortmund (more than Madrid, although I realize that if it was Dortmund : Ajax the <insert EPL team> match would be on of course) that this match is being shown this early in the tournament on a channel that is normally exclusively an EPL showcase.

Here's Bild's predicted lineups. They are guessing that Mavuba will make his comeback from injury for Lille.

Hard call to pick between Müller and Kroos but the latter has been the starting player for the central offensive midfield these days so I'd put my money on Toni. On the other hand I'd be thrilled to see Müller play a central role once again as he did under van Gaal. His best position in my opinion.

There's no such thing as best position for Thomas Müller ... He always move around a lot whenever he plays ... I rather have him on the pitch than Kroos, but Toni has been great this season also, so, I don't know who to pick, it's a "double-edge knife", :)

Lets get the three pts tomorrow by hook or by crook. That'll at least see Bayern in one of the top two spots in the group and in solid position moving forward. A draw and it'll likely take at the minimum a pt @ Valencia and a win home to BATE. How bout putting an end to all the foolish speculation on supporters' parts, playing a full 90' +, and going top of the table, putting the ball in the onion bag early and often? WHO'S WITH ME!?!? ARGGGGGGHHHHH! LET ME SEE YOUR WAR FACE! ARGGGGHH!

Most of Muller's good moments this season have come in the middle of the pitch despite being played as a right winger.

I think Pizarro is the perfect partner for Muller as well - Claudio is not only a target man and aerial threat that will occupy center backs, but also can interplay with other attackers.

If we hypothetically win this group and the groups all stay as they are now..

It means we could play PSG, Milan, Madrid, Cluj, Celtic, Arsenal, Chelsea.....

Wow that sucks.... But if all those teams end up 2nd there must be a reason right? Which means they are beatable ;)

But I would prefer Cluj or Celtic out of that list...

(Ofcourse this list can change easily by MD6, but just hypothetical)

    Please start Toni. Either way
I think Kroos will start, there was an issue on whether he would make but it wasn't an issue, so maybe they are taking that into account.

I don't think Kroos is the best option against highly defensive teams. He tends to struggle against opponents who "park the bus".

Against a team like Dortmund who will come to play football I think Kroos is the better option.

Muller on the other hand is able to score with his head and pops up with random moments of brilliance - both desirable attributes against teams defending with 10 men.

I have been one of Muller's biggest critics recently, but for this match I believe he is the man for the job playing behind our striker.
