Ok ok Ill bite. Dude, its only three games. Give it some time. No one in LA is trippin, and we even have a short attention span and are very fickle too. Hechhag and you... it is regular season. Who gives a hoot? LOL even the writer says he is getting too carried away with his assessment. Its only two games ffs. I have caught up to all of the (LA) games, and Nash does not seem to fit in with his regular pick and roll Phoenix style and so far has not really had chemistry with Kobe, nonetheless the whole team. But I will give it some time and see how finds his identity in the system. How about Chris/Griffin to the combo list?
Yeah it’s early but you look like shit and you sucked in the pre-season as well. And now Nash is injured? Kobe hits 40 and you still didn’t win. Thst’s not a very promising sign.
I do not necessarily disagree that it is early and we look like Luis Suarez (shit) and we smell and play like Luis Suarez- but I expected it. I expected growing pains and expected everyone to get to know each other and their abilities. The team barely played with each other due to injury. Negatives - -Damn our bench is absolute Luis Suarez... no matter preseason, regular, playoffs. This is very concerning. -Our defense is absolute shit. Unless we can recover on transition and defend some pick and roll, young teams like OKC and passing teams like Houston will beat us in a 5-7 game series. Chris Paul put a clinic on us. -Nash is gonna have to adjust. Not sure if he would best fit this system. -Freethrows have to improve -Turnovers need to halt and be controlled -Mike Brown. Shay Z and I are still not confident about him in his coaching abilities. He pretty much yields his offense to Jordan and then his East Coast Defense style has not existed. Positives - -It is still too early. -Overloaded starting talent -Kobe still looks good -Howard is not looking shabby, but not his old self. He is getting touches on the ball. Once his health gets back, I expect him to be a bigger defensive presence. -Pau is a integral part of the Princeton and he is looking very good in his passing post role -Artest defense is still great and fits the system quite well -Our defense is Luis Suarez, but our offense is not that bad and we are scoring more this year. -It is still too early. There are alot more to list of negatives and positives. This is on top of my head and I gotta go.
It was only the pre-season but you lost 6 games and won zero. So far in the regular season you’ve already lost both. The Lakers bench is crap right now. You’re not going to beet The Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, or even the Rockets at this point with that bench. You started Steve Blake in the last game FFS.
Rocks lose a tough one tonight, Harden clearly looking beaten by big minutes. I'm sure he'll improve as the season carries on. Ultimately, you go 5-26 from beyond the arc, you're probably gonna lose. Meyers Leonard is raw and talented, but he's a defensive liability that the Rockets could expose and didn't. Patrick Patterson can't be out there in crunch time, he provides little offensively and worse yet he thinks he can can. I like what Morris has given us in the last couple of games but I still want to see what Royce White and Terrence Jones can do. It was a pleasure watching Lamarcus Aldridge work tonight. He's the closing thing we got to Duncan in his prime. Marvelous control of the game. Also, Lillard is the real deal. When PDX goes with that big starting lineup of Aldridge, Hickson, and Batum, they can dominate physically. Very impressive to see.
Ray allen with clutch 3! heat with the win. we suffered defensively, let them score many points in the paint.plus gave up many offensive rebounds to them.Bosh had career night with the heat, 40 points! LBJ was close for triple double, all what he needed was one more rebound. We are still putting no effort, and giving shit all to the games.
If lakers dont win at home today vs the pistons, I can see mike brown fired. It just goes to show how amazing lebron is, leading bunch of scrubs to 60 win seasons with mike brown as head coach.
Dammit, I meant to type "beard" not "beer". Must have been one of those Freudian slips. Well, the writer was talking about backcourts so that doesn't count, and besides, Curry/Klay showed the Clippers last night what's up.
Anothr good performance by Melo with 27 points. JR Smith also went off with 20 points. And they both are actually playing defense. The line-up the Knicks are using is weird as hell. They’re playing Kidd almost as a forward alternating with Ronnie Brewer and Felton as the PG.They’re basically playing 3 guards, Melo and Chandler.
I have no idea how Amare will fit in right now. I guess Brewer will sit down. And it’ll be Kidd/Felton playing a dual PG role with no real SG, Amrare, Melo and Chandler.
steve nash could be out for 4 weeks. congs lakers fans for your big win over the superpower that is detroit pisstons
I'm not even remotely worried. Once Howard gets back to his old self the Western Confrence can start planning for next year.
So far the Harden trade has panned out pretty much as the experts predicted. Without Harden, OKC lack that security blanket for whenever Russ Westbrook goes into a funk. And Houston looks to have found a legit franchise player in the Beard.
Neither am I or any other sane fan. All this nonsense about Lakers being in huge trouble is just that, nonsense. Its the same thing every time. Some loser fan calls into a couple of radio shows after a loss or two crying and bitching about every little thing, the media picks it from there and rolls it all into a huge storm. A lot of idiots follow their cue and start panicking. Haters don't even need that to unleash their mockery. And so it goes. Whatever. Lakers players are starting to figure it out. The fractured preseason did us no favors at all. We desperately needed that time to implement the new offense and integrate the new players. Its gonna take a long time before we start seeing what this team is really gonna look like. Maybe after the ASG. I just hope it doesn't hurt our end of season seeding that badly. Giving up home court to the Spurs (OKC was always gonna finish no.1 regardless) and maybe even the Clips will be a big disadvantage in the playoffs.
Over the next five years you're going to see a lot of Thunder fan suicides and a couple assassination attempts on the OKC owners.
I can see OKC imploding. They know they can't win it all without Harden and I think Westbrook and Durant are pissed. And if Harden continues playing like he has then it's only going to get worse.
