Give me Walcott and either Hooper, Remy, or Ba and I won't complain.

Be judicious with the resources and don't get screwed by letting somebody else's "once fantastic" player lose his legs on our patch.

I don't see Walcott as helping that much, he doesn't seem much of a goalscorer to me.

we'll buy a first-team striker (walcott seems the most likely) and a defensive utility player. 15mil-ish. maybe a loaned striker, too?

I think we will buy 7 u-17 midfielders from all over Europe who have "great technical ability and promise" :)

Players I'd love us to target sometime in the future:

    Ter Stegen
    Holtby
    Isco
    Felipe Luis
    Adrian
    Rodrigo

We are being linked with Holtby, but I hope if we move for him it's in the Summer, after we make a decision on Sahin. We also need to sign some kind of cover for Lucas. We already have 2 passers like Allen and Sahin in the team, but we don't have an enforcer. Other than that, a talented RW would be nice.

Nice names but I'm thinking we haven't the money to prise those away. I was more hoping we've cast our net wider than the usual suspects for whom will be outbid by others just so as they don't come to us etc.

We're being linked with Huntelaar. He can leave Schalke on a free in the summer, so will be available this Jan for some cash. He could be what the team needs, someone who can finish off chances and assist Suarez.

Also Lewis Holtby may be a target too. Holtby's Dad is from Liverpool (albeit an Evertonian) so this could help sway him to join us. Even though he is from a Bluenose family, he would know the significance of joining the best club on Merseyside! Not sure what type of player he is though.

I would also take Torres back. We all know he get's his powers from the Anfield crowd. He could be a dream partner for Suarez.

Huntelaar is too one dimensional for my liking but I'll take Torres back in a heartbeat!

Rodgers system is not supposed to have an enforcer as we're meant to pass our way of danger. Lucas wont be doing his super human amount of tackles when he returns as his game will be more like Allens of retaining possession.

I don't think enforcer necessarily denotes a player who can't play football. Players like Busquets, Viera, Van Bommel were/are "enforcer" types but all capable footballers in a fluid passing side. I think it's more or less a player that imposes himself in a game, and not necessarily in a physical way either.

I didn't say it did. Lucas, our enforcer for the last couple of seasons, is probably one of our most technical players. At Swansea last year Allen was their top tackler, he and Britton passed around and kept possession rather than constantly break up attacks. Kenny's philosophy was to keep the ball out of our area as much as possible and constantly create new attacks which meant that Lucas was constantly winning back possession.

Well, Lucas is our version of an enforcer. Right now, with our team, if the opposing defence can get past the initial pressuring by our attackers, they pretty much get a free pass till our defensive third. This puts too much pressure on our defence. Is it any wonder that they routinely make atleast 1 mistake every match?

The January transfer window will be remembered for the joyous return of one of the league's most exciting prospects: Andy Carroll.

I suspect that would be his agent giving Schalke the hurry-up.

Al-Habsi and De Vries linked to us today.
With all the noise about the GK position, BR is clearly unhappy with Pepe.

Galatassaray is linked with a loan move for Joke Hole.

My choice to move for is Pierre Aubameyang from St Etienne.
