Anyone see the leak? Bringing back the orange! Now if they could only get that right shade of Space City blue.
Saw the leaked jersey n hat two weeks ago. Very glad to see the return of our old Astros's orange. With the navy blue caps n orange star specifically. So that makes it our city's flag is sky blue n our oldest D-I pro team is back to orange. I like how Oliver got DG to listen so our Dynamo got our soccer colors spot on from day 1. My trucker navy blue old Astros hat from 1985 will be back in style next Spring. And our two ballparks sit off Texas Ave. Just a Biggio base hit from one another. Ha! Love downtown tailgating n sports!
They really should be bring back the Tequila Sunrise jerseys. In a world where branding is such a big deal, you'd think a team would take on one of the most distinct looks in sports history (they didn't even have a road jersey from 1975-79).
Yep, if I'm going to have to spend money on these jerseys and new Dynamo ones during the offseason, they might as well freaking let me declare bankruptcy already. Story Time: If you know me, you know I'm a Houston sports whore. I love every Houston team,no exceptions. However, in my heart the Houston Dynamo are number one, two, and three. Then after that the Astros and Aeros. Before the Dynamo the Astros were my team. Well, I went to the Launch Party with redinthemorning. Who would've thought some Gringo who sent me a message via BigSoccer would end up being good friend. Well that's a whole different story...where was I? Oh yeah, so I was the party awaiting the unveiling. I ended up realizing that I had closer access for being a STH, so we went for our wristbands. On our way back to the party, we bumped into Chris Canetti. I swear, he probably thought at that moment, "one day Lord, all I ask for is ONE day to be away from these EB Thugs!" Hahaha. His facial expression was priceless. The uniforms then got unveiled, and to be honest, the Dynamo while they're a smaller organization sets up parties and stuff better than any other sports organization in Houston. The Texans have too many followers now so those aren't fun, the Astros pretty much throw stuff together and aren't as welcoming, the Rockets are ran like conveyor belt. The only other team that even comes close are the Aeros. Long story, less long, when I saw that orange jersey I was hoping for one that said Houston, instead of Astros across the chest, wouldn't have that been amazing!? Well. I still love them. We got ********ed over by going to the AL, and our new owner keeps blowing smoke up our asses about it, but at least we don't look like the ********ing Yankees anymore. We're finally back to uniforms that are memorable and not just generic. Dynamo, Astros, and Aeros know how to suit up! PS: WE HAVE ********ING ORBIT BACK!!! HOLY ********ING SHIT!!!! I TOTALLY ********ING LOVE HIM!!!! I WAS 5 again!!!!
Excellent uniforms. I'm stoked that they are going back to their roots--the uniforms they've been sporting for years have been generic and ugly. I am hoping that the FO is wanting to find a way to fill those seats by finding talent and bringing them to Minute Maid. Let this be a new day for Houston sports.
Tremendous unis! Way to go 'Stros organization. That road grey is simple and with Houston in the block lettering is classic. Our orange one is solid and indeed D, our navy blue training gear jersey is as well classic H-Town look!
Relax...that was aimed at Astros ownership.... well on the off chance they read BS. We have cool unis, cheaper beer, bring your own water....but no new players. And it may make them play better....remember the uniform episode on Seinfeld
I am relaxed. If you haven't realized it, I know the mods haven't, I only really do mean it when I curse out opposing fans. Y'all are bros.
The color scheme is great. The unis are f--king lazy. But The_Ponce already knew that, right? Seriously though, they look like those "fan" jerseys your grandma buys you as a gift (because they certainly aren't cheaper than a regular replica). Sorry, but I'll keep my Tequila Sunrise/ Shooting Star. Those took some effort. Did MLB kick in another $70 million for Crane to keep the design so average? BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, we got Orbit back. After 12 years of that stupid rabbit/ conductor, we finally got a mascot that is relevant to our team!
