Dembele, Parker, BAE and Kaboul all out. Adebayor and Livermore both doubtful.

    Match Facts

    Head to Head
    • Wigan have managed just two victories in the 15 previous meetings between the sides, but one of those came at White Hart Lane in the 2010-11 season.
    • Tottenham did the double over Wigan last season, winning 2-1 at the DW Stadium and 3-1 at White Hart Lane. Gareth Bale scored three times in those fixtures.
    • The Latics have scored just 13 times in the 14 league matches between the sides, compared with Tottenham's 32 goals.
    Tottenham
    • Tottenham have scored in all nine of their league matches this season - the only other top-flight club to manage this feat is Manchester City.
    • Only Robin van Persie (55) and Wayne Rooney (40) have scored more Premier League goals since the start of the 2010-11 season than Clint Dempsey (31). The American has scored six league goals against Wigan - more than against any other side.
    • Only seven goals have been scored in the first half of Tottenham's nine league matches this season, but 23 goals have been scored after half-time.
    Wigan
    • Wigan are the only Premier League team who have not recouped any points from losing positions this season.
    • Their victory over West Ham was their first win in the league in seven attempts - and their first home victory of the season.
    • Wigan have scored 34 Premier League goals in 2012 (excluding own goals) and none have come from an English player - they are the only club to have played in the division this calendar year without a single English scorer.

    Deuce, the Wigan killer!
Is Ade really hurt? Why were we pushing for him so hard then? (get well Dembele we need you!)
    3-1. No excuses!

    Is that a 4-4-2?

Great opportunity to get closer to the top, with City and Chelsea travelling and ManU-Arsenal. Need to win and win well.

Edit: didn't see ManU was early game. Oh well.

Nice to see Adebayor on the bench if needed, but even more excited to see Falque.

Love to see a clean sheet, though I'm not expecting one judging by this first 15 minutes

Sandro off for Gylfi... if he's out for City and Arse we are in big trouble :p

    Slow half so far.

Nice build-up by Wigan for that chance. Gallas is still getting a game, somehow.

    Friedel again!

FFS would it kill someone to make a tackle?

OK, well it's established now that we only ever play for 45 minutes of any game. Let's hope it is the next 45 minutes

Worst half of the season, lucky to be 0-0. Need to really turn it around 2nd half, thankfully got Ade to use.

Sandro going off has made a big different in Wigans ability in the attacking half.

Is 8 goals in the second half too optimistic?

Some thoughts (I joined 15 mins in):

    - Arouna Kone is a good player
    - The only two players who can protect the back 4 in our squad are Scott Parker and Sandro. Nobody else.
    - Ade has a great opportunity to be the difference maker with his quality, and if he manages it it could signal the beginning of the transition of the starting striker spot from Defoe to Ade.

That is the worst half of football I have ever seen from Spurs this season. WOW!

Spurs have had some pretty poor halves, so I don't know. In fairness to Wigan, they had a game plan and executed it perfectly. They will drop off in the second half.
