Exciting times in MLS - tight and interesting pair of first round games, if not the prettiest of contests. But there's virtually no time to wait between those games and the conference semifinals. NOT all times listed are EDT, just the Friday and Saturday games, with the pair of matches on Sunday listed as EST. And since the original post here comes without a start time for LA and San Jose, not even that. Friday 2 November Salt Lake at Seattle, 10:00, NBCSN Saturday 3 November DC at New York, 8:00, NBCSN New York at DC, 8:00, NBCSN Sunday 4 November Kansas City at Houston, 3:30, NBC San Jose at Los Angeles, 9:00, ESPN Wednesday 7 November DC at New York, 8:00, NBCSN Houston at Kansas City, 9:00, MLS Live and Direct Kick Los Angeles at San Jose, 11:00, ESPN2 Thursday 8 November Seattle at Salt Lake, 10:00, NBCSN So about this neutral thread. It isn't really neutral - that's shorthand for respectful and not overly homeresque. But as always, let's keep it friendly here in the {respectful and not overly homeresque} PBP thread.
I debated including it, but I figure it'll be in here regardless. For extensive discussion, I will remind folks we have a dedicated (and sometimes quite interesting when we get past the hyperbole in there) thread on the topic here.
Part of the discussion was that, well, the NYC Marathon will be happening on Sunday as scheduled. Well, now it's not, if reports are correct.
My mouth is literally watering for tonight's match. Or maybe it's because I'm waiting for my order at Five Guys.
Besides Five Guys, what's on everyone's playoff menus? I'm going with chocolate cookie dough ice cream and a cup of Eight O'Clock coffee.
Pork, braised w/ dried fruit, served on Israeli cous-cous. Ice cream after the game to celebrate (or console myself).
Watching the Sounders pregame show. Football sidelines are very evident. Looks like other football markings are very visible as well. Prepare yourselves.
