Harden is a good guy, I doubt he would have turned his contract situation into Dwightmare. In general I still haven't heard a good reason why Presti couldn't have let this group return for one more season and then resolve the Harden situation next Summer.
This is all from what I remember, and I could be severely wrong, but it's my understanding that OKC has already given big money contracts to Durant and Westbrook so they'd have to pretty much choose between Ibaka and Harden when the time came. Still, they could've made a better trade. They obviously thought they had the scoring front covered with the former two, and needed Serge for his defence.
