Screw Kamara. Think of him winning the cup for the greater good of the Crew. You are probably thinking "WTF is wrong you?" Just hear me out. Columbus is perceived as a cow town and no one wants to play in cow towns. Well, last I looked, Kansas City is still a cow town, but with great BBQ. It is the most lame assed excuse you can use to justify the "losing" culture of Columbus. If KC can win the Cup in a cow town with small media footprint, Crew FO sure as shit can't bemoan the lack of media presence in an area as an excuse in failing to attract talent or asses in seats. KC winning the cup pretty much forces Crew's hand that whatever lame ass excuse is not going to fly.
I watch the playoffs of anything, minus Women's NCAA basketball or soccer. Football, soccer, hockey, basketball, baseball (ehhh), and pretty much ever sport is better in the playoffs. Read an article that the 2 leg playoff tie breaker is goals scored. Away goals will have no effect.
Man, DCU fans are just in a tizzy about getting swapped with RBNY's hosting the first game to the next week. Just go over to DCU @metroscum thread in the DC forum. I know a lot of you think I am asshole, but I am nothing like that.
it is very hard to root for a Canadian team, I think it would be awesome if Vancouver knocked LA out of the first round....as of who I want to win, I think I'm with SJ because of Bush...
I don't have any particular dislike for Vancouver; in fact, their videos about the other Cascadia team fans as an actual fun and informative source about the other teams in that 3 team tournament branded them as the only Cascadia team that has fans that seem bearable about their geography and its relevance to ANY outside of the region to me lol. It's just so... Canadian haha
I don't blame them. They played the entire season, got a road result on the final matchday, and earned the right to have the deciding leg, along with the possible OT and PK's, on their home field, and it just got ripped away from them. They should be pissed off. I understand why it's happening, and sometimes stuff like this can't be avoided. But they have a right to be upset.
As a fan of a team thats not in the playoffs, its pretty tough for me to feel too bad for DC fans right now. Could be worse, they could be NY fans.
There really weren't any better options. A neutral site with 3 days notice would be far worse than 2 switched home games.
That bitter taste Peter? It's bongwater I'm certainly pulling for SJ for all of those aforementioned reasons, Bushie, Lenhart, etc. Plus it makes me thrilled to think that MLS cup could be held at a 10,500 seat stadium. Anything to piss off ChimpBoy works for me
Dude, it is called perspective. Some things are secondary in the event of a major disaster. A soccer game is one of them.
Robert Warzycha doesn't understand why Kinnear isn't playing for a draw or starting someone who hasn't played yet this year.
But the loony fans' vitriol is getting quite disgusting. You got Hoboken under water and parts of Jersey City as well. They are debating how bad is Harrison. You can't get to Harrison without getting through JC and Hoboken
I don't dislike him, for the record. Just think it's semi-funny when things don't seem to go exactly the way he planned them. And he looks like a freaking chimp. So hilarious.
Will Bruin scored before most people even knew the second half started. Game over! We're going to see all out attack from Chicago here.
As promised, I skipped it. But I do revel in the joy of Chicago's sadness. See ya next season, ya twerps!
