    1. I'm skeptical of JLR's role at Chivas USA (Good/Bad)
The man is at a position where he can easily scout the best Chivas USA youth players and Socal players(Mexican, Mexican-American) convice them $ to play in Guadalajara. I hope that JLR is really looking out for Chivas USA too and the club doesn't become a farm team for Chivas Guadalajara.

They can start of by announcing a new stadium. To much talk at Chivas USA but nothing to show.

I was really hoping Angelica Fuentes would be named President of the team. Fuentes looks like a good business women and has experience.

I think most Chivas USA fans are still waiting to hear what Jorge Vergara has to say. The man has been very quite and we all know those rumors going around. Lets hope for the best.

    Dear Jose David,
    Want to be successful?
1- Announce the downtown LA stadium now (or ASAP). Provide updates in English and be specific
2- Keep Jose Domene. He's better with us than against us (future Galaxy employee?). Plus, he's a fan favorite and is known for his expertise in tacos de chicharron en salsa verde. (don't ask)
3- Add Los Angeles to the brand ASAP. Configure the badge to make it more LA -centric
4- Establish an identity for Chivas USA by proclaiming that developing youth players in the academy will be our focus not selling them to Guadalajara.
5- Market in English at all costs. Chivas de Guadalajara fans DO NOT LOVE CHIVAS USA. They love Mexico and the other Chivas. Nothing wrong with that. New fans will come but they will not speak Spanish as their first language. You work for Chivas USA embrace the differences and you will be a king.
6- Hire Eric Wynalda. If not, get Bob Bradley back. If not, hire a proven head coach with experience in the MLS. Please
7- Appear on the "What the Flock" podcast and share your vision for the LA Goats future.

    Sincerely,
    ELAC

That's what I'm talking about! Let the changes begin. Sorry for all that have been fighting for the re-branding cause. Chivas USA case closed, move on. It's part of Guadalajara, get over it!

No manches bro. Just because it looks like Chivas USA is bringing more people from Guadalajara/Mexican identity, it's now Guadalajara Jr?It's still Chivas USA. Now lets hope the team can finally return to the playoffs and win some silverwear.

Dont get me wrong. I am not saying that we will be Guadalajara JR. I think we will eventually have our own identity, but it's not going to be one that consist of adding Los Angeles, changing the crest, or changing the name to the Aztecs as alot have been fighting for. Vergara wants to cash in on all of the Mexican / Chicano fan base. Yes people will say that the experiment didn't work at the begining but remeber that Vergara now has full control and always demands a winner.

    Good point.
We will always be a junior version of Chivas de Guad anyways until we get an owner that cares about this city

Efrain Flores is perfect. Now if he can acquire some players that will fit his system. trust me gentlemen this will be a good thing. I don't know if any of you (except for you Rey) were at the game last Saturday but I don't ever want us to play like that again. I brought friends and they talked trash the whole time. ...In retrospect I realize I shouldn't have brought any potential fans this year, it would have turned them off to becoming a fan. Next season would be great if we could convince some yanks like edgar castillo or el gringo torres to play for us. Omar arellano has a lot of ability if he could just stay injury free. hector reynoso is a good leader but he is definitely on the decline. I don't think that will be much difference between him and Califf or McKenzie. Regardless, i'm just happy that we get some positive news for once in a very very very long time.

I WANT TO WIN. I dont care who the coach is or who the players are. I want people who care and feel pain when they lose. I want them to pissed off when they make a mistake. More than anything I WANT TO WIN.

Winning fixes EVERYTHING in sports. When we start to win and care about the product on and off the field we will be successful. Fans will come see a winning team PERIOD, thats what LA is all about. Start winning games and the seats will fill up.

the question is whether Efrain Flores is simply a puppet. or a cost-effective way to bring in fans by way of a "recognizable" name.

I have to say a few things rumors are Chivas USA would drop the USA and would simply be called Chivas don’t ask me who told me I just heard …
On the Chivas USA side- guys we have to understand what Chivas is and what it represents
If you can’t do that then you would always be crying/ beaching/ wining Chivas USA has the name of Chivas which is a Mexican brand and the name of the most popular team in Mexico, Chivas USA would always be related to “Mexico” because of the name like it or Not… plus our owners are as Mexican as the Tequila what can you expect
It is that simple if you just can’t simply understand that they you might be supporting the wrong team, there are a lot of teams in the MLS more American than Chivas USA your choice, I I’m just giving you and advice cuss 2013 would be back to square 1 I picture opening day 2013 just like the opening game in 05’ if you where there you know what im talking about “ I know they learned from their mistakes and will bring competitive players in 2013” I cant wait to have a Torta ogada in Chiva town
    [IMG]

You might not agree with what I post but it is simple and it it’s the truth save yourself some time and really think if you want to fallow a team like Chivas USA

the problem is, that sounds like the current marketing department's philosophy:
"take it or leave it, we dont care."
btw, here's a harsh reality: vergara would never change the name/philosophy/identity because doing so would admit defeat and would be a slap to the face of his chivas brand. the guy is so damn stubborn.

But ekker, imagine if that stubbornness got us names like el gringo Torres, Edgar Castillo, joe corona, Rafael baca, herc Gomez, Omar Salgado, Omar Gonzalez, Los Farfan bros, Luis silva ( from Toronto ) playing on one team. That would generate so much style on the field, some much energy in the stands and tv ratings as these are recognizable names in the liga mx and the MLS. Laws are laws, were gona have players of every color, creed, and nationality and we chivas fans will embrace them as they show they bleed red and white. But Rey tiene razon. If you went to McDonald's would you expect Chinese food? Somos chivas . You can take chivas out of Mexico but you can't take Mexico out of chivas

Mr Liston came back to MLS because of Fraser and Vanney. He would not have returned without them there either way,
BTW our tam has never been in such good shape or kept as injury free because of Mr Liston. he is a credit to his profession Clearly I am a big fan of his
