You forgot the part where he said.

I agree with him, i don't care about comparing him to Giovinco, but Di Maria is levels above that guy, and Jese looks like he has everything this guy has, plus a less embarrassing haircut and a Spanish passport (+15 points in popularity).

You've also been saying that this Taiwo guy is the next Roberto Carlos. You was right of course as well. He bypassed all the glory that Roberto Carlos had and ended up straight to Russia with him.

    Legend.

That doesn't work because with two equal financial offers surely the ball will be in the players court, and the bidding clubs would know that, so why would anyone pay some money now for that kind of deal?

Is this the part of the forum where we bash EC-7 again?

That would be the 25th most stupid way Barcelona have spent money.

No, we just crush his confidence by bringing up average players he kept raving about and quickly forgot once they proved to be average.

Transfer offers. I'm assuming wages, bonuses are a separate negotiation. You have to agree to terms with the selling club and you have to agree to terms with the player. You can conceivably construct a scenario where the offer to the player is significant enough the he exerts pressure on the selling club as well.

Again, this is speculation from various media sources based on the strong ties Sandro Rossell has had with Brazilian soccer for many years. We could put together hundreds of hypothetical situations.

Why listen to the kid, his father, his brother, his manager, his president... hell anyone in Brazil?

Let's go with Balague and the other crap "journalist", eh? They can't provide any real document, but they already know! Just like they knew about Villa!

The best part about this is Neymar would leave for free after the World Cup, so how did they pay part of his transfer fee? :D

Yes, but if the financial offers (transfer fees) from the two bidders (assume for example Barca and PSG) was equal, how could the selling club ensure that the player moved to Barca instead of say PSG? Especially if PSG offered more in wages than Barca?

Would Santos have to decline one transfer offer and accept another equal one, knowing that the player can still refuse to leave? What advantage does that give to Barca, for them to pay for the privilege? I just don't see it making financial sense, even for a club like Barca.

It doesn't change the question I asked. I'm interested how he came up with the comparison and the "average performer" tag for a 19-year old. What makes him an average performer? In what ways, aside from their size, does he resemble Giovinco?

You can't compare him to Di Maria, they're on two different planets. Di Maria has years of experience and a whole lot of games on him. Not saying he'll be as good as Di Maria; I'm saying it's not a realistic comparison. Same goes for Jese, who's playing in the second division. You're comparing apples and oranges here.

IF it is true, we don't know what it buys them. As I said, we can construct hypothetical scenarios until we're blue in the face. The most optimistic cule point of view would see it as a first payment towards an agreed upon transfer. The least optimistic point of view would see it as gaining them some sort of advantage in a yet-to-happen bidding war.

I have no idea if it is true or not. When it comes to a deal like this one, half the parties involved are full of shit and the other half are bullshitting. That said, if I were a gambling man I would bet that team Neymar has already had conversations with the top 2-3 club on his wish list. Whether they've done it directly, through and agent or some 'independent' third party ... I would be shocked if they didn't have some idea of how an offer would be structured.

I'm comparing them as far as what i think they are capable of. Jese could easily play for the worst Milan side for over a decade(?), it's simply not an achievement at this point.

What percentage of Neymar's rights does Santos own now?

I don't know if Jese could crack the team or not, and if he did, if he would perform to the same level or not. For one, I haven't seen enough of him to make that judgement, and secondly, I think there are a lot of hypothetical assumptions being made there.

As for El Shaarawy, I'm not going to sit here and say he's going to be the next big thing or hype up the kid, but I've liked what I've seen from him considering the situation he was forced into, his age, and how he's performed. I'm willing to give him some time before I start labeling an "average" performer.

I do like the way he controls the ball and demands it as the attacking focus though.

Cagliari are on the level of Las Palmas and Sabadell, and Jese takes them for a walk when he plays them. Nothing against the kid, but Jese looks like the better talent.

I call one guy, who thinks that people asking for Falcao are ready to give up both of our strikers for him, a retard, and suddenly, I'm Mussolini.

Man, as soon as you criticize Higuain, you're the forum villain, even trolls like that Pellegrini-lover start coming after you .

Don't worry, they will ask Madrid for a bank loan in due time.
